Organizational Profile

Founded in 2000, CREA is an international feminist human rights organization based in New Delhi, India. It is one of the few feminists’ human rights organizations based in the global South, led by Southern feminists, working at community, national, regional, and international levels. Together with partners from a diverse range of human rights movements and networks, CREA’s work focuses on building feminist leadership, strengthening movements, expanding sexual and reproductive freedoms, promoting rights-based approaches to reducing gender-based violence (GBV), and advancing the human rights of structurally excluded people.

About the Role

The Program Coordinator will report to the Director, Program and Innovations (DPI) and will have a cross-cutting function to support and work across the organization’s programs and partnerships. The role sits across teams, supporting programmatic aspects, creating, learning, and collaboration across the organization’s thematic areas, supporting resource development, and representing the organization as and when required.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Program Coordinator will include the following:

I. Program Coordination

Support the Director, Programs and Innovation in the design, planning, and implementation of programme initiatives.
Track programme milestones and support timely reporting to donors and internal stakeholders.
Maintain program documentation, workplans, and shared resources.

II. Partnerships and Networking

Support relationship management with consortium partners, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders.
Facilitate partner convenings, joint planning processes, and collaborative learning spaces.
Represent the organization in relevant networks and forums.

III. Knowledge and Learning

Support the documentation of learnings, good practices, and programme insights across teams.
Contribute to the development of knowledge products, briefs, and reports.
Facilitate internal reflection and learning processes.

IV. Feminist and Rights-Based Practice

Ensure feminist and intersectional approaches are embedded across all areas of work.
Support the organization’s commitment to inclusive, participatory, and accountable programming.
Contribute to organizational processes on safeguarding, equity, and inclusion.

V. Resource Development

Contribute to the development of proposals for fundraising.
Coordinate with programme teams to ensure the timely availability of programme-related information, documentation, and resources required for effective implementation.

VI. Administrative

Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by DPI in line with CREA’s needs.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

8-10 years of progressive work experience in similar roles with NGOs/I-NGOs.
Graduate (preferably Master’s Degree or equivalent experience) in social work, community development, gender studies, human rights law, and/or related field
Significant experience working with diverse stakeholders, including international, regional, national, and local organizations, and a demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships
Demonstrable experience of working with donors and their reporting procedures
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in systems change approaches and advancing gender equality within development programs are highly desirable
Excellent verbal and writing skills in English and Hindi, along with strong communication skills with both internal and external audiences.
Detail-oriented and takes initiative with an ability to self-motivate and produce high-quality products.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Committed to feminist values and social justice.
Strong coordination, facilitation, and communication skills.
Ability to work across teams and manage multiple priorities.
Experience of fundraising and drafting of proposals.

The salary range for this position is INR 75,000 – INR 1,50,000 per month, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience and organization’s internal equity.

Leave/Holidays:

20 days of annual leave
12 holidays as per the CREA list of holidays
12 days of sick/casual leave per year
01 week of winter break at the end of the year

Insurance:

Medical insurance of INR 3 lacs/person for employee, spouse/partner and children or any designated individual in the case of single persons, against any kind of hospitalization
Personal accident insurance of INR 3 lacs for the employee
