SHARE INDIA is a public health organization that has been partnering with government health systems since 1986 to strengthen health programmes through research, technical assistance, and implementation support.
Applications are invited for multiple short-term consultancy positions under the TB–MNCH Integration Project, an innovative implementation initiative being implemented by SHARE INDIA with support from JSI under the Tuberculosis Implementation Framework Agreement (TIFA Bharat) in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The project seeks to strengthen the integration of tuberculosis (TB) services within routine maternal healthcare by embedding TB screening, diagnosis, treatment support, TB preventive treatment, and referral services into antenatal and postnatal care platforms. Working closely with government health systems, the project aims to improve early identification and comprehensive care for pregnant and postpartum women while generating implementation evidence to inform future scale-up.
Nature of Engagement: Short-Term Consultancy
Assignment Duration: August 2026 – March 2027
Consultants will be engaged for the duration of the project, subject to satisfactory performance, organizational policies, and project requirements. Detailed job descriptions, eligibility criteria, and application instructions are provided below.
Team Lead (01)
Duty Station: Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, with travel across project districts in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Position summary
The Team Lead will provide overall leadership and management for the TB–MNCH Integration Project across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The role is responsible for ensuring effective project implementation, fostering collaboration with government stakeholders, guiding project teams, monitoring progress, and ensuring that project objectives are achieved within the planned timelines. The Team Lead will serve as the primary point of coordination between SHARE INDIA, government partners, and the donor, while promoting quality implementation and continuous learning across project sites.
Key responsibilities
• Lead state-level and district-level government engagement with NHM, NTEP, and MNCH leadership — formal project inception, technical alignment meetings with JD-NTEP and JD-MNCH, and coordination committee facilitation in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the TB-MNCH Integration Project across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
• Lead engagement with state and district health authorities to facilitate integration of TB services within maternal and child health platforms.
• Coordinate project implementation across districts and ensure alignment with government priorities and donor expectations.
• Supervise and support project staff, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high-quality programme delivery.
• Monitor project performance, review progress against key indicators, and guide corrective actions where needed.
• Facilitate coordination among TB, maternal health, laboratory, monitoring, and digital health stakeholders.
• Oversee project reporting, documentation of achievements, lessons learned, and dissemination of best practices.
• Support identification of opportunities for scale-up and institutionalization of successful project approaches within government systems.
Qualifications and experience
• MBBS / MPH / MD (Community Medicine / SPM) or equivalent postgraduate qualification in public health or medicine
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in public health programme management with at least 3 years in TB (NTEP) or MNCH (NHM) at state or multi-district level
• Demonstrated experience managing government partnerships at state directorate level (NHM / NTEP / MNCH / CTD)
• Prior experience leading cross-functional teams of 10 or more in field-based programme implementation
• Telugu and English proficiency mandatory
