SHARE INDIA is a public health organization that has been partnering with government health systems since 1986 to strengthen health programmes through research, technical assistance, and implementation support.
Applications are invited for multiple short-term consultancy positions under the TB–MNCH Integration Project, an innovative implementation initiative being implemented by SHARE INDIA with support from JSI under the Tuberculosis Implementation Framework Agreement (TIFA Bharat) in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The project seeks to strengthen the integration of tuberculosis (TB) services within routine maternal healthcare by embedding TB screening, diagnosis, treatment support, TB preventive treatment, and referral services into antenatal and postnatal care platforms. Working closely with government health systems, the project aims to improve early identification and comprehensive care for pregnant and postpartum women while generating implementation evidence to inform future scale-up.
Nature of Engagement: Short-Term Consultancy
Assignment Duration: August 2026 – March 2027
Consultants will be engaged for the duration of the project, subject to satisfactory performance, organizational policies, and project requirements. Detailed job descriptions, eligibility criteria, and application instructions are provided below.
Senior Clinical Mentor
Number of positions: 4 (ALLURI SITHARAMA RAJU (ASR) / Anakapalli (Andhra Pradesh ); Suryapet / Sangareddy (Telangana)
Position summary
The Senior Clinical Mentor will strengthen the capacity of healthcare providers to deliver integrated TB and maternal health services. The role will provide on-site mentoring, supportive supervision, and technical guidance to frontline health workers and facility staff. The Clinical Mentor will support the adoption of project protocols, promote quality service delivery, and contribute to improving the knowledge and skills of healthcare providers across project-supported facilities.
Key responsibilities
• Provide technical mentoring and supportive supervision to frontline healthcare providers delivering maternal and TB services.
• Strengthen provider capacity on TB screening, referral, diagnosis, treatment linkage, infection prevention, and patient counselling.
• Support implementation of project protocols, clinical guidelines, and standard operating procedures across health facilities.
• Conduct on-site mentoring visits, training sessions, and refresher capacity-building activities.
• Monitor quality of service delivery and support health facilities in addressing identified gaps.
• Promote adoption of patient-centred approaches and effective communication strategies.
• Support development and use of educational and behaviour change communication materials.
• Document field experiences, challenges, and best practices to inform programme improvement.
Qualifications and experience
• MBBS / BSc / MSc Nursing (Obstetrics/Gynecology or Community Health), MPH
• Minimum 4 years of clinical or programmatic experience in MNCH, TB, or integrated maternal-child health settings
• Prior experience mentoring frontline health workers (ASHA/ANM/CHO/Staff Nurse) in a government health system context
• Working knowledge of NTEP clinical protocols, 10S screening, TPT/IPT guidelines, and specimen collection SOPs
• Female candidates strongly preferred given maternity ward and community engagement responsibilities
