SHARE INDIA is a public health organization that has been partnering with government health systems since 1986 to strengthen health programmes through research, technical assistance, and implementation support.
Applications are invited for multiple short-term consultancy positions under the TB–MNCH Integration Project, an innovative implementation initiative being implemented by SHARE INDIA with support from JSI under the Tuberculosis Implementation Framework Agreement (TIFA Bharat) in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The project seeks to strengthen the integration of tuberculosis (TB) services within routine maternal healthcare by embedding TB screening, diagnosis, treatment support, TB preventive treatment, and referral services into antenatal and postnatal care platforms. Working closely with government health systems, the project aims to improve early identification and comprehensive care for pregnant and postpartum women while generating implementation evidence to inform future scale-up.
Nature of Engagement: Short-Term Consultancy
Assignment Duration: August 2026 – March 2027
Consultants will be engaged for the duration of the project, subject to satisfactory performance, organizational policies, and project requirements. Detailed job descriptions, eligibility criteria, and application instructions are provided below.
Referral Linkage Coordinator (RLC) '
Number of Positions: 8 Positions (ALLURI SITHARAMA RAJU (ASR) / Anakapalli (Andhra Pradesh; Suryapet / Sangareddy , Telangana)
Position summary
The Referral Linkage Coordinator will support timely access to diagnostic and treatment services for project beneficiaries. The role will coordinate referral pathways, facilitate communication between health facilities and laboratories, track service linkages, and address operational barriers that may affect continuity of care. The RLC will play a critical role in ensuring that clients receive appropriate services without delays and that referral systems function efficiently.
Key responsibilities
• Coordinate referral and specimen transportation processes to ensure timely access to TB diagnostic services for pregnant and postpartum women identified through project-supported screening activities.
• Work closely with health facilities, laboratories, frontline health workers, and district health teams to strengthen referral pathways and continuity of care.
• Monitor the movement of specimens and track referral completion from sample collection through diagnosis and treatment initiation.
• Identify and address operational bottlenecks affecting timely diagnosis, reporting, and linkage to care.
• Maintain referral and transport records and contribute to project monitoring and reporting systems.
• Support implementation of specimen transport mechanisms and facilitate coordination among service delivery points.
• Conduct regular follow-up with facilities and laboratories to ensure timely communication of test results and completion of referrals.
• Contribute to documentation of implementation experiences, operational challenges, and lessons learned related to referral systems and service linkages.
• Support district teams in strengthening patient-centred approaches that minimize delays and improve access to services.
Qualifications and experience
• BSc (Life Sciences / Nursing / BMLT) or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology with public health field experience
• Minimum 3 years in NTEP, NHM, or a public health implementation programme at sub-district or district level
• Prior experience coordinating transport logistics, cold chain management, or specimen referral systems preferred
• Proficiency in WhatsApp-based coordination, Google Sheets, and basic data entry
• 18 field days per month mandatory; must be comfortable with intensive field mobility
For ALLURI SITHARAMA RAJU (ASR) posting prior experience in tribal/ghat geographies preferred; terrain-adjusted logistics planning experience essential
