Position: Senior Manager, PALNA program (Specialised adoption agency)
Location: Delhi
Reporting to: Director, DCCW
Delhi Council for Child Welfare (DCCW) is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to child welfare since 1952. For over 70 years, DCCW has worked towards its mission of “giving underprivileged children a childhood and a future” by daily supporting 4,000+ abandoned and underprivileged children across Delhi through a range of programs and services. PALNA, its flagship program is a home for abandoned children and is also a Specialised adoption agency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Planning & Coordination
• Lead and oversee rehabilitation, education, counselling, child development, and adoption services, ensuring effective coordination across all functions.
• Ensure timely assessments, follow-ups, and documentation.
2. Supervision & Staff Management
Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams through performance management, mentoring, and training.
3. Quality Assurance & Case Management
• Oversee treatment, therapy, counselling, special education, and medical care, coordinating closely with doctors and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with CARA Guidelines, the JJ Act, and CWC requirements through effective case management.
4. Child Welfare & Protection
• Ensure children's safety, rehabilitation, education, and holistic development.
• Oversee child records, statutory documentation, and adoption-related processes.
5. Administrative & Resource Management
Manage budgets, resources, assets, and administrative reporting in coordination with HR and Accounts.
6. Reporting & Compliance
Ensure timely reporting, documentation, statutory compliance, and adherence to DCCW policies, safety, and ethical standards, including during inspections.
7. Donor engagement Assist in fundraising efforts, including proposal writing and engagement with donors.
Qualifications & Experience
• Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Experience in child welfare, adoption, rehabilitation, or social development programmes within NGOs, child care institutions, or government agencies is preferred.
• Knowledge of child welfare laws and rehabilitation services
• Sound understanding of budgeting, financial planning, and cost management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Hindi and English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Compensation:
Salary will be commensurate with experience and aligned with NGO sector benchmarks in India.
