Position: M&E Manager

Role Summary
The M&E Manager (Impact Manager) will lead the design and implementation of the organization’s monitoring and evaluation framework to assess the effectiveness and impact of program activities. Working closely with the COO and senior leadership, the role will focus on developing robust data systems, defining key performance indicators, and generating insights to inform strategic decision-making. The Manager will oversee data quality, build analytical tools and translate complex data into meaningful reports, proposals, and communication materials. Additionally, the role will drive capacity building within teams, support fundraising and donor reporting, and contribute to research initiatives to strengthen the organization’s evidence-based approach to impact.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to assess program effectiveness
• Develop comprehensive metrics, indicators, and tools to measure program impact and outcomes
• Analyze complex quantitative and qualitative data to track program progress, derive insights, and recommend actionable improvements
• Ensure the quality, accuracy, reliability, and relevance of all data collected across programs Develop and standardize M&E processes, including SOPs, survey tools, log frames and strategic measurement plans
• Establish and manage a comprehensive impact reporting framework for internal and external stakeholders
• Identify capacity-building needs and lead training initiatives to strengthen team capabilities in data collection and usage
• Support senior leadership (Director and COO) in developing fundraising proposals and donor reports with strong data-backed narratives
• Translate data into compelling reports, presentations, and communication collaterals
• Conduct field visits to monitor implementation and validate data quality
• Contribute to research and knowledge creation through the development of papers and insights based on program data
Key Skills & Competencies
• Demonstrated experience in research, monitoring and evaluation, preferably within the education or development sector
• Strong technical expertise in designing and implementing M&E frameworks, methodologies, and tools
• Advanced quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Strong results-oriented approach with proven abilityto set goals, plan strategically, prioritize effectively, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs
• Excellent projectand operational management skills,with the abilityto track progressand maintain quality standards across multiple initiatives
• Proven ability to developand present high-quality, complex technical reportsfor diverse stakeholders
• Experience leveraging digital tools and platforms for data collection, analysis, visualization, and reporting
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the abilityto simplify complex data for varied audiences
• High level of attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and analytical thinking Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with emerging trends in M&E and data systems
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related field
• Specialized trainingor certification in Monitoring &Evaluation, Research Methods, or Data Analytics is preferred
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis tools; familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage
Experience
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation, research, or impact assessment roles
• Prior experience in the education or development sector will be strongly preferred Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing M&E frameworks, tools, and systems
• Proven track record of working with large datasets, data analysis, and generating insights for decision-making
Language Requirements - Fluency in both written and spoken English and Hindi
