The Manager – Resource Mobilization [Senior Fund Raiser] leads TISS's fundraising efforts, developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to secure institutional funding from grants, donors, corporate (CSR) partners, trusts, foundations, and alumni. The role is central to building a sustainable funding pipeline beyond the current bridge funding period.
Key Responsibilities
The role covers designing and implementing the institute's overall fundraising strategy; identifying and securing funding from government grants, CSR funds, philanthropic trusts, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals; developing high-quality grant proposals and concept notes; and building long-term donor relationships, including stewardship and reporting. It also involves leading alumni engagement and major-gift initiatives, setting and tracking fundraising targets, supervising the Junior Fund Raiser, and coordinating with institute leadership (Campus Directors, Deans, Chairpersons) to develop project proposals. The manager must ensure compliance with statutory and donor-specific requirements such as FCRA and CSR norms, and represent the institute at forums, networking events, and donor meetings (the role involves periodic travel within and outside Mumbai).
