Role Overview
The Senior Program Officer – State Mainstreaming will be responsible for leading the integration and institutionalization of Computational Thinking (CT), AI Literacy, Career Exploration, and Future Skills within Gujarat's public education system. The role will work closely with Samagra Shiksha, GCERT, DIKSHA, and other state education stakeholders to strengthen curriculum integration, teacher professional development, digital learning initiatives, and statewide adoption. The role also involves providing technical support, coordinating cross-functional teams, strengthening government partnerships, generating implementation evidence, and contributing to long-term systems strengthening &sustainability.
Role & Responsibilities -
Government Coordination
- Build and strengthen strategic relationships with Samagra Shiksha, GCERT, DIKSHA, and other state education stakeholders.
- Coordinate with government officials to facilitate planning, review, approval, and rollout of programme initiatives.
- Represent Quest Alliance in state-level meetings, technical working groups, consultations, and review forums.
- Support alignment of programme priorities with state education policies, priorities, and existing government initiatives.
- Facilitate regular review meetings with government stakeholders to monitor progress and strengthen implementation.
State Mainstreaming
- Lead the planning and coordination of CT, AI Literacy, Career Exploration, and Future Skills integration through DIKSHA and other government platforms.
- Support institutionalisation of programme components within existing government systems and teacher professional development initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen programme sustainability and statewide adoption.
- Co-create implementation and scale-up roadmaps with government stakeholders and internal teams.
Programme Management
- Support planning, execution, and monitoring of state-level programme activities aligned with organisational and donor commitments.
- Develop implementation plans, review frameworks, and action trackers for state-level priorities.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Learning Experience, MEL, Operations, Partnerships, Communications, and Finance) to ensure timely completion of programme deliverables.
- Identify implementation risks and recommend timely course correction to achieve programme outcomes.
Technical Support & Capacity Building
- Collaborate with Learning Experience and Content teams to strengthen curriculum resources, facilitator guides, digital learning content, and implementation frameworks.
- Support the design and facilitation of state-level orientation programmes, workshops, and capacity-building initiatives for government stakeholders, Master Trainers, and educators.
- Provide technical inputs to strengthen programme quality based on implementation evidence and field learnings.
- Document learnings and recommendations to strengthen future programme design and rollout
Systems Strengthening
- Support integration of programme approaches into existing government systems, policies, and teacher professional development structures.
- Strengthen institutional ownership by enabling sustainable adoption within state education ecosystems.
- Identify opportunities to improve programme effectiveness through innovation, collaboration, and systems thinking.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that strengthen long-term programme sustainability and scale.
Cross-functional Coordination
- Facilitate collaboration across Programmes, Learning Experience, MEL, Operations, Communications, and Partnerships teams.
- Coordinate planning, implementation, and follow-up for state-level reviews, consultations, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure timely communication, action tracking, and alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the MEL team to strengthen monitoring systems for DIKSHA and state-level programme implementation.
- Track programme progress using dashboards, implementation data, and evidence to support decision-making.
- Analyze programme data and generate implementation insights to strengthen quality and scale.
- Prepare state-level reports, donor updates, review presentations, and programme documentation.
- Document best practices, case studies, government learnings, and implementation evidence for internal and external dissemination.
- Support knowledge management by maintaining programme documentation and sharing learnings across teams.
Required skill and competencies –
- Graduate degree in MSW or Sociology
- Gujarati Language is Mandatory
- Experience of around – 3 to 4 years on working with educators, government stakeholders, and learners

Salary: The pay band for the position starts at Rs. 47,000 /- per month (cost to company) (The salary offered will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the candidate)
