Aide et Action (India) is a development organization working in the field of education. It is registered as a not-for-profit entity under Section 25 of the Indian Companies Act, 1956 (corresponding to Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013)

A committed development professional who believes in the power of education to transform lives. You should hold a postgraduate degree in Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the NGO, INGO, or CSR sector. Strong skills in documentation and proposal writing are essential, along with a willingness to travel and engage with communities across India. Fluency in English and Hindi is required, while knowledge of a regional language will be a plus.

B. Job Characteristics
The role of Programme Development & Support Officer, positioned within the Programme Development & Support Unit (PDSU) of Aide et Action India, calls for an individual with the following qualifications, experience, and competencies:
- Strong understanding of education and development issues with sound organizational and domain knowledge. Good analytical, documentation, and reporting skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality proposals and knowledge materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in English, basic knowledge of Hindi, and familiarity with a regional language preferred.
- Demonstrated teamwork, initiative, and leadership abilities to work effectively across departments and regions. High level of adaptability, mobility, and time management to work efficiently in diverse cultural and field settings.
- Proficiency in digital tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other basic computer applications; along with a basic understanding of social media platforms and their use for professional communication and outreach.
C. Job Profile
Organizational Image Building
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, institutions, and networks to advance organizational goals.
- Design and implement image-building initiatives that enhance the organization’s profile, strengthen visibility, communication outreach and engagement with external audiences.
Programme Development and Management
- Facilitate annual planning, budgeting, and project development to ensure effective design, implementation, and alignment with the organization’s priorities.
- Oversee key project functions including appraisal, monitoring, evaluation, capacity building, and impact assessment to maintain quality and drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with regional teams, functional units, thematic units, International Team, Donors and other stakeholders (internal & external) to ensure compliance, timely reporting, and successful execution of campaigns, events, and other program initiatives.
Support Quality Enhancement Initiatives
- Facilitate capacity-building activities such as orientations, trainings, workshops, and meetings to strengthen program quality and team effectiveness.
- Manage reporting and knowledge systems, including the Online Project Management Information System (MIS), ensuring accurate and timely data management.
- Develop high-quality documentation, publications, and research outputs—including reports, case studies, and visuals—for learning, advocacy, and resource mobilization.
Donor Management & Resource Mobilisation
- Ensure effective donor coordination and compliance, including timely submission of reports, documentation, and other deliverables.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities by developing high-quality concept notes, proposals, and project reports aligned with organizational priorities.
- Undertake regular project visits and stakeholder engagements to strengthen donor relations, provide strategic support, and enhance program visibility.
Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s competencies, qualifications and relevant experience.
