About RAP
The Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP) is an independent, mission-driven global organization working to advance a clean, reliable, and equitable energy future. Our teams work across the United States, Europe, China, India, and other markets, bringing together expertise from across regions to address complex energy challenges.
As RAP's global operations continue to evolve, we are investing in the people, systems, and shared capabilities needed to support a growing international organization. This includes expanding our internal finance capacity in India and creating opportunities for finance professionals to build careers working within a global nonprofit environment.
Job Summary
The F&A Support Officer is an early-career professional position providing foundational accounting, reconciliation, documentation, and financial systems support to RAP's global Finance team.
Working alongside experienced accounting professionals in India and the United States, the Accounting Associate will gain practical experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, employee expenses, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, grants, and audit support.
This role is designed as a developmental accounting position, not simply a data-entry role. RAP will provide opportunities for the successful candidate to develop practical knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, nonprofit accounting, financial systems, and international finance operations.
As proficiency develops, they will be expected to assume increasing ownership of reconciliations, journal entries, accounting schedules, and other financial processes.
