Job Description – Project Engineer

**Project:** Strengthening Climate-Resilient Water Security and Ecological Resilience
**Location:** Jodhpur & Phalodi, Rajasthan
**Position:** Project Engineer
**No. of Positions:** 1
**Reporting To:** Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

* Provide technical support for implementation of water harvesting and water conservation interventions.
* Supervise technical execution of pond rejuvenation/deepening, taanka construction and farm pond construction.
* Conduct site assessments, measurements and technical verification before and during construction activities.
* Review work against approved technical specifications, drawings, estimates and site requirements.
* Monitor construction quality, dimensions, material usage and workmanship.
* Conduct regular field visits to project sites and provide technical guidance to Site Supervisors.
* Coordinate with contractors, vendors, masons and other technical personnel, wherever required.
* Support catchment treatment and runoff management activities.
* Monitor implementation of micro-irrigation/sprinkler systems and related technical interventions.
* Support technical aspects of climate-resilient agriculture and livelihood demonstrations where required.
* Maintain site measurement records, work progress records, photographs and technical documentation.
* Identify technical issues, construction delays and quality concerns and report them to the Project Manager.
* Ensure implementation follows applicable technical standards, safety measures and government guidelines.
* Support preparation of progress reports and technical inputs for project reporting.
* Assist in verification and documentation of completed works before handover.

* Quality and timely completion of technical interventions.
* Proper site measurement and technical documentation.
* Regular field monitoring and quality checks.
* Timely identification and resolution/escalation of technical issues.
* Technical inputs for project reports and asset handover.

Qualification & Experience

* B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or related discipline.
* **Minimum 3 years of relevant field experience** in civil construction, water conservation, watershed development or rural infrastructure projects.
* Experience in pond construction/rejuvenation, farm ponds, water harvesting structures or irrigation systems will be preferred.
* Good knowledge of site supervision, measurements and construction quality control.

Remuneration

upto- 25,000 per month
