Job description:
Job Title Training Manager
Employment Type Contractual (Duration : 6 to 8 days spread across 12 to 13 months ,
Type : Part-time)
Location Chennai, Tamil Nadu
Essential Functions:
The training manager will do the following functions:
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver training for field investigators/enumerators for large-scale survey data collection.
• Develop/adapt training materials, manuals, and field instructions; train participants on questionnaires, concepts, skip patterns, probing techniques, and field protocols.
• Conduct demonstrations, role plays, mock interviews, and practical exercises; support questionnaire pre-testing.
• Assess trainee understanding and performance.
• Coordinate with the project team, trainers, and field supervisors to ensure standardization.
• Maintain training and assessment records; provide field-level training and refresher support during data collection.
• Ensure that ethical conduct and respondent confidentiality are covered in the training

Required Qualifications:
1. Minimum graduation degree in any field
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in training for data collection for large-scale surveys. Experience of conducting and managing large-scale surveys in Tamil Nadu is desirable.
Personal Competencies Required:
- Professional fluency in oral and written English and Tamil is must.
- Willing to travel across different geographies.
- Strong proficiency in training methods.
- Professional fluency in spoken and written English and Tamil.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and online data collection platforms such as SurveyCTO.
- Ability to analyze, manage, and interpret data effectively.
