Position Summary
Training Program Manager is responsible for KMIT's training and curriculum function, providing technical and operational leadership to ensure consistency in training design, curriculum development, implementation, quality assurance, and learning outcomes across the program portfolio. Reporting to the Country Program Director, TPM oversees life skills training as well as project-specific training initiatives, including Digital Literacy, AI Readiness, and Climate Resilience Initiative, and manages end-to-end engagements with external consultants, agencies, and domain experts. Working closely with the CPD, Program Managers, the MEL team, and external partners, TPM ensures that curriculum development, training delivery, learning assessments, and reporting align with organizational standards, project objectives, donor requirements, and KMIT's strategic framework while driving continuous improvement and innovation in learning and capacity-building approaches.

This role focuses on supporting Implementing Partners (IP) and ensures trainers and program staff across IPs are equipped with tools, conducts regular evaluations for quality assurance, and integrates trauma-informed approaches into training.

Core Duties and Responsibilities
Curriculum Design, Development & Implementation
• Act as the focal point for coordinating with consultants, agencies, and domain experts to design and adapt digital literacy, AI readiness, and climate resilience curricula aligned with KMIT's strategic framework.
• Lead the internal curriculum review process by coordinating with cross-functional teams to collect and consolidate feedback, communicate revisions to consultants, agencies, and domain experts, and ensure timely incorporation of feedback through to finalization and approval
• Develop, pilot, and update training materials — manuals, guides, e-learning modules, and job aids — as shared organisational assets usable across both program pillars, and localize content for context, language, and literacy levels across the KMIT project states.
• Ensure IP and project trainers are equipped with the latest tools, technologies, and revised modules/methodologies; develop trainer guides, session plans, and assessment tools, with version control and quality standards.
• Integrate climate resilience and AI-readiness modules into a sequenced, competency-based curriculum structure under the KMIT.

Training Delivery & Facilitation:
• Lead the development of training plans and session plans across Implementing Partners (IP) sites online, in-person, and blended learning formats for AGEP and WFD
• Finalize and maintain training calendars, ensuring they are aligned with the program priorities and timelines
• Coordinate with internal teams and (IPs) to finalize timelines for life skills training, training calendars, and delivery modalities,
• Provide support for onboarding and orientation sessions for new IPs or trainers, as required
• Directly facilitate or co-facilitate virtual/in-person ToT and refresher trainings on life skills as-needed basis, ensuring consistent quality of facilitation, attendance, and learner engagement across all IPs.
• Manage Training-of-Trainer (ToT) and refresher trainings for IP trainers/teams and project field trainers, including designing agendas, managing training session logistics, including scheduling, materials, and technology setup; plan and oversee the training delivery calendar across all sites of KMIT.

Program Management- Operation & Coordination
• Identify and manage relationships with external training provider agencies/consultants/domain experts across the AGEP/WFD portfolio, ensuring their offerings meet KMIT’s standards; and, specifically act as day-to-day relationship manager for the curriculum development agency, the LMS vendor, the training needs assessment agency, and the pilot implementation partner — from onboarding through to final deliverable sign-off.
• Support the CPD in scoping Terms of Reference (ToR)/scope and deliverable schedules for each hired agency, ensuring alignment with proposal objectives, activity list, and timeline; support negotiation of contracts/agreements to secure favourable terms and clear deliverable-based milestones.
• Coordinate the training needs assessment fieldwork, ensure timely access to sites and respondents, and review findings for integration into curriculum design and site-level planning.
• Review and quality-check curriculum agency deliverables (modules, session plans, assessment tools) for pedagogical soundness, contextual fit, and alignment with learning objectives before roll-out.
• Coordinate with the LMS vendor on platform setup, content upload, user access for trainers/learners, troubleshooting, and any required customization; act as the primary internal point of contact for LMS issues (e.g., CloodOn or equivalent).
• Oversee the pilot phase in coordination with the pilot implementation agency/partner — tracking pilot timelines, capturing learnings, and translating findings into revisions before full-scale roll-out.
• Track all hired-agency/consultant’s deliverables and timelines against the proposal’s/RFP’s task list, flag slippages or quality gaps to the CPD, and maintain a consolidated agency deliverables tracker; ensure smooth handover/integration between agency outputs (e.g., needs assessment findings into curriculum design, curriculum into LMS content, pilot learnings into final materials).
• Liaise with the CPD and relevant KMIT colleagues to ensure training strategy and delivery remain aligned with overall organisational program strategy and donor expectations.
• Represent the training and operations function in internal program review meetings and relevant external stakeholder/agency discussions.

Quality Assurance & Reporting
• Implement MEL (Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning) frameworks for training programs across AGEP, WFD, and project-specific initiatives; track output and outcome indicators against organisational and proposal/task-list targets using training MIS/tracking tools (e.g., CloodOn or equivalent LMS-based performance data).
• Set up regular review meetings with IP/CBO/site trainers and Program Managers or project focal points to review performance data, conduct online assessments, and agree improvement actions with follow-up tracking.
• Conduct field, IP, and site visits and spot checks across implementation locations to verify training quality, fidelity, and (where applicable) trainer accreditation; provide on-the-spot guidance to trainers and site staff.
• Gather and analyse feedback from site visits; prepare and share findings and recommendations with the CPD, Program Managers, IPs, and relevant stakeholders for quality assurance.
• Ensure all training programs meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and accreditation requirements; regularly review and update curricula to reflect sector trends, regulatory changes, and evolving client (adolescent girls’ and women’s) needs.
• Prepare and analysis of training reports, learning assessment reports (LMS and Excel-based), and cohort-wise batch reports. Work closely with the MEL and Program teams to ensure data accuracy, monitor learning outcomes, generate actionable insights, and support continuous program improvement, management decision-making, and donor reporting.
• Flag implementation risks, delays, or quality gaps to the CPD with corrective action recommendations, including any arising from agency-side coordination issues.
• Support the CPD in coordination with donor-side operational counterparts on scheduling, site visits, and activity updates, escalating issues that require donor-level decisions.
