About the Role
World Comics India is looking for a dynamic and motivated Program Officer to support the planning, coordination, implementation, and documentation of community-based development programmes. The position requires close engagement with communities, educational institutions, partner organisations, and other stakeholders while ensuring the effective execution of project activities. The ideal candidate should be passionate about social development, possess strong communication and writing skills.


Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, including communities, schools, government departments, partner organisations, and donors.
• Plan and organise workshops, training programmes, camps, meetings, and community events.
• Support the timely and high-quality implementation, monitoring, and documentation of project activities.
• Work closely with field staff, volunteers, and community leaders to ensure effective programme delivery.
• Prepare project documentation, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, case studies, success stories, presentations, concept notes, and other communication materials.
• Develop and edit content for social media platforms, websites, newsletters, and other outreach materials.
• Maintain project records, MIS, databases, and activity documentation.
• Capture photographs and videos during field activities and edit short video clips for communication and reporting purposes.
• Assist in planning, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of programme activities.
• Undertake regular field visits to engage with communities, monitor activities, and provide implementation support.
• Perform other programme-related responsibilities as assigned.


Qualification & Experience
• Master's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Education, Mass Communication, Journalism or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in the development sector.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills in English and Hindi, with the ability to develop content for diverse audiences.
• Experience in implementing educational, community development, or social development programmes.
• Strong organisational, coordination, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with social media platforms, basic graphic design, and video editing tools will be an advantage.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work closely with communities in field settings.
