About the Opportunity

Bhittibhumi Seva Sangathan is inviting applications from motivated and field-oriented individuals for the position of Field Coordinator Intern.

The internship will provide an opportunity to work directly with farming communities and contribute to field research related to food security, agroecology, seed systems, livelihoods, climate change and dietary diversity.

Key Responsibilities

Selected interns will be responsible for:

- Conducting household and community-level field surveys.
- Collecting accurate data using KoboCollect.
- Supporting the collection of Food Insecurity Experience Scale (FIES) data.
- Documenting agroecological farming practices.
- Collecting information related to seed access, use and management.
- Collecting household income and expenditure information.
- Documenting climate change impacts and local adaptation strategies.
- Collecting information on dietary diversity and nutrition.
- Interacting respectfully with farmers and community members.
- Ensuring accuracy and completeness of collected data.
- Reporting field-level observations, challenges and data ambiguities to the research team.

- Able to communicate and interact effectively with rural communities.
- Willing to undertake field surveys and data collection.
- Familiar with smartphones and basic digital data collection tools; knowledge of KoboCollect will be an advantage.
