About Bal Raksha Bharat
Bal Raksha Bharat (also known as Save the Children) is India's leading independent child rights organisation. It is a member of Save the Children movement that operates globally with the mission to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and achieve immediate and lasting changes in their lives. We are working towards three breakthroughs in how the world treats children by 2030:
- No child dies from preventable causes before their fifth birthday
- All children learn from a quality basic education and
- Violence against children is no longer tolerated
We run programmes in the remotest corners of India and urban areas in the areas of Health & Nutrition, Education, Child Protection and Livelihood & Economic Wellbeing in order to facilitate quality education, healthcare and protection from harm and abuse and life-saving aid during emergencies to children.

Role Purpose
Bal Raksha Bharat (BRB) is initiating a holistic development project, “Samagra Vikas”, focusing on developing model villages. The initiative integrates interventions across Health & Nutrition, Livelihood, Education, Financial Inclusion, Social Protection, and Social & Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC). The intervention attempts to develop and demonstrate the efficacy of a holistic development project by developing model villages. This would be based on a robust MIS system and demands thorough documentation, reflections and dissemination of the processes and learnings generated throughout the project period.
Bal Raksha Bharat (BRB) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Manager-
MEAL for the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning domain, reporting to the Project Lead / Head of the PIU (Programme Implementation Unit) and collaborating closely with the project implementing teams and thematic/technical support teams.
The Assistant Manager- Project Coordination & MEAL will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of project M&E, and Knowledge Management Systems aligning with BRB’s Goals, Programme Strategy & Result Frameworks. This role requires strong coordination, communication, and analytical skills to facilitate programme system practice strengthening, knowledge sharing, collaboration, and learning among our teams, with a deeper understanding of data around themes of Health & Nutrition (H&N), Education, Child Protection, Economic Well-being programs, and Child Cantered Disaster Risk Reduction (CCDRR). With support from the National MEAL team, the role holder will develop MEAL Plans, Project MIS Tools, in-project Study Tools, etc. The role holder will also support project managers, with support from the NSO
