Unified Fintech Forum (UFF) is a national-level premier industry association of fintech firms, established in October 2016 and incorporated as a not-for-profit Section 8 company registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.
UFF is committed to fostering a regulatory-compliant, pro-innovation, market-friendly and sustainable fintech ecosystem in India, with a strong focus on customer protection and the interests of all stakeholders, and adheres to the highest standards of corporate governance.
Our members include fintech firms, Account Aggregators, technology companies, banks, NBFCs, and consulting and law firms engaged in fintech.
THE ROLE
The Fintech Policy Associate will work alongside industry experts, member firms and the UFF policy team on research, advocacy and thought leadership in Fintech . It is a hands-on role for someone who wants their work to translate directly into policy positions that shape how the sector is regulated. This position is based at Gurugram.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on regulatory policies, industry trends and market dynamics in Indian fintech sector.
• Draft position papers, white papers, consultation responses and other policy documents with the policy team.
• Track policy and regulatory developments, and assess their implications for the fintech industry.
• Work with cross-functional teams and member firms to gather inputs and insights that inform UFF's policy positions.
• Develop educational resources, reports and publications on Fintech, Fraud Awareness, Digital and Financial Literacy etc.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Essential
• A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field — law, public policy, finance, economics or business administration.
• At least 5 years of work experience in banking, finance, legal or related domains.
• Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated interest in policy development and a working understanding of regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency with AI tools, the Microsoft Office suite and standard research tools.
Preferred
• An academic and professional background in law.
• Familiarity with the Indian financial services industry, particularly in Fintech sector.
