About the Position
NEEDS is looking for a skilled Machine Maintenance & Operator to support the operation of machinery at its Bamboo Craft Facility Centre (CFC). The position will be responsible for machine operation, preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, safety compliance and supporting artisans in the correct use of machinery. The role will help minimise breakdowns and downtime while ensuring productivity, quality and safety at the CFC.

Key Responsibilities
• Operate and monitor bamboo-processing and craft machinery.
• Undertake regular inspection, cleaning, lubrication and preventive maintenance.
• Identify faults and undertake basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain machine maintenance and breakdown records.
• Ensure safe and proper use of machinery and tools.
• Guide artisans on correct and safe machine operation.
• Coordinate with technicians/service providers for major repairs.

Qualification & Experience
• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Fitter, Machinist, Maintenance or related discipline.
• Preferably 2–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in machine operation and maintenance.
• Experience with bamboo/woodworking or similar production machinery will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of machine safety and preventive maintenance.
