About the Project
Lok Astha Sewa Sansthan is implementing the Laika Ghar (Creche) Project for children aged 7 months to 3 years. The project focuses on providing safe, caring and development-oriented support to young children while strengthening support systems for their families and communities.
Position Summary
The Supervisor will be responsible for the regular supervision and monitoring of Laika Ghar (Creche) centers within the assigned area. The position will provide guidance and support to creche workers, monitor the quality of childcare and other services, ensure proper maintenance of project records, and support timely and accurate data collection through the mobile application.
Key Responsibilities
• Regularly visit and supervise assigned Laika Ghar (Creche) centers.
• Monitor the attendance, safety, care, hygiene, nutrition and overall well-being of children.
• Observe and support age-appropriate play, learning and early childhood development activities.
• Provide regular guidance and support to Creche Workers.
• Ensure that Creche Workers follow project guidelines and standard procedures.
• Monitor the availability and proper use of childcare, nutrition, hygiene and learning materials.
• Maintain regular communication with parents/caregivers and community members.
• Collect and verify information related to children and project activities.
• Enter and/or submit accurate project data through the designated mobile application.
• Ensure completeness, accuracy and timely submission of mobile-based data.
• Identify data errors, missing information and field-level issues and coordinate for their correction.
• Maintain records of field visits, meetings, attendance and other project activities.
• Prepare regular field-level reports and submit them to the Cluster Coordinator.
• Identify challenges at Creche centers and report them to the Cluster Coordinator for appropriate action.
• Participate in review meetings, trainings and capacity-building activities.
• Support community awareness and parent engagement activities related to childcare and early childhood development.
• Document good practices, challenges, success stories and learning from the field.
• Coordinate with Cluster Coordinator and other project staff for effective implementation of the project.
• Perform other project-related responsibilities assigned by the organization.
Essential Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Rural Development, Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field.
• Good understanding of community-based programs and child development.
• Basic knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and mobile applications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly to Creche centers and project villages.
Experience
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in the NGO/development sector.
• Experience in childcare, early childhood development, community development, women and child-related programs will be preferred.
• Experience in field supervision, community mobilization or working with frontline workers will be an added advantage.
Required Skills

Languages
• Hindi: Fluent in reading, writing and speaking.
• English: Basic reading and writing skills.
• Chhattisgarhi / Local Language: Preferred.
Salary
