JOB TITLE : Program Manager/ Sr. Program Manager (Project Coordinator)
REPORTING TO: State Head – Andhra Pradesh
LOCATION : Madanapalle – Andhra Pradesh
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Papagni Programme Coordinator will be responsible for providing overall coordination, leadership and strategic direction for the Papagni River Landscape Restoration Programme. The position will serve as a key coordination point between FES, partner NGOs, government departments and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the programme and achievement of agreed project outcomes.
Sr. No PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential functions but not exhaustive):
1 Coordinate the project within the project period and foresee subsequent expansion and scale of the interventions and initiative.
2 Close coordination with partner NGOs and Government for realising the project plans and achieve the deliverables and impact as per the Log Frame Analysis of the project.
3 Strengthen the Coalition and coordinate among the partners to align with the Papagni river basin restoration concept, plans and develop ideas into action that may emerge from time to time.
4 Coordinate with the FES Papagni team and provide leadership. Help the team in planning and achieving the results. This includes the range of tasks starting from day to day coordination and achieving the impact.
5 Support partner NGOs in establishing and strengthening Papagni River Basin federations, MAP processes and stakeholder forums, and provide guidance for the preparation and implementation of Landscape Conservation Action Plans (LCAPs).
6 Support the project in the convergence of Government schemes and work closely with district- and state level officials to strengthen the rapport and relationships.
7 Preparing Capacity Building plan for the project stakeholders, partners and handholding in building their skills.
8 Support the State Head in developing new ideas, proposals and interventions and take up any other task as entrusted/assigned by the reporting manager from time to time..
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:
• Postgraduate qualification with substantial experience in the development/NGO sector; team leadership experience preferred, Experience of coordinating with multiple partners.
• Experience in natural resource management, water resources, agriculture, livestock, climate change and livelihoods. Work at landscape level or river basin level will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data orientation
• Ability to develop planning, monitoring and learning protocols alongwith other partners and support them in monitoring the progress and plans.
• Ability to Document the processes, prepare periodical reports, good quality thematic reports.
• Knowledge on database management, technological tools in natural resource management.
• Willingness to travel extensively to partner locations, project sites, and other programme areas across Andhra Pradesh and work closely with field teams and stakeholders.
REMUNERATION & OTHER DETAILS
• FES provides renewable contractual employment and compensation levels and other monetary/non-monetary benefits at FES are considered good within the development sector. The initial contract is for one year, which is further renewed for much longer terms upon successful completion of one year. The annual remuneration for this position would be in the range of INR 7.2 to 13 lakhs based on competency & experience plus performance incentives and other benefits as per the rules.
