Kajla Janakalyan Samity, a reputed non-governmental organisation, invites applications from qualified, experienced and motivated professionals for a five-year project on Climate Resilient Agriculture, Livelihood Promotion, Food Security and Women-led Cooperative Development.
The project aims to strengthen sustainable agriculture, climate adaptation, livestock development, institutional strengthening, and access to government services through community participation.

1. Project In-Charge (Focal Person)

Remuneration: INR 40,000 per month
Age: Not more than 45 years as on 31.08.2026
Essential Qualification:
• Master's Degree in Rural Development, Agriculture, Social Work, Development Studies, Agricultural Economics, Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in managing rural development/CSR/NGO projects.
• At least 3 years' experience in leadership of multi-sector livelihood or climate resilience projects.
• Excellent project management, coordination and reporting skills.
• Experience in donor reporting, financial oversight and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in MS Office and report writing.
• Fluency in Bengali and English.
• Understand & speak Hindi
Desirable:
• Experience with women producer groups/cooperatives/SHGs.
• Knowledge of Government livelihood schemes.
• Experience in climate-resilient agriculture and others livelihood projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide overall leadership, planning and strategic direction for project implementation.
• Ensure effective implementation of climate-resilient agriculture, livelihood and food security interventions.
• Coordinate with Government departments, Panchayati Raj Institutions, banks, technical agencies, Marketing institutions and other stakeholders.
• Supervise and mentor the project team to achieve project objectives within the stipulated timeline.
• Prepare annual, quarterly and monthly work plans and monitor their implementation.
• Ensure timely submission of technical, financial and donor reports.
• Monitor project progress, outputs and outcomes through regular field visits.
• Facilitate capacity building of staff, women-led cooperatives and community institutions.
• Identify implementation challenges and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with donor guidelines and organisational policies.
• Represent the organization in meetings, workshops, Training, seminar and advocacy forums.

2. Accounts Person

Essential Qualification:
• B.Com/M.Com with knowledge of accounting.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in NGO/project accounting.
• Working knowledge of Tally ERP/Tally Prime and MS Excel.
• Experience in budgeting, bookkeeping, payroll and utilization certificates.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance, audit and donor financial reporting.

• Experience in FCRA/CSR-funded projects.
• Basic knowledge on IT regulation for the NGOs
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain project accounts, ledgers, cash books and financial records.

Essential Qualification:
• B.Sc. Agriculture (Essential).
• M.Sc. Agriculture preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in sustainable agriculture, climate-smart agriculture or natural farming.
• Experience in crop planning, soil health, irrigation, Water Shed, integrated pest management and farmer training.
• Computer operation knowledge for documentation.
Desirable:
• Experience with Farmer-Producer Organisations (FPOs)/cooperatives./ Farmer’s field schools.
• Experience in integrated farming (Livestock, plants and Fish) systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical guidance on climate-resilient and sustainable agricultural practices.
• Develop crop production plans and integrated farming models.
• Conduct farmer training on improved cultivation techniques, soil health management, water conservation and integrated pest management.
• Promote organic and bio-inputs for sustainable agriculture.
• Establish and monitor demonstration plots and farmer field schools.
• Support the formation and strengthening of producer groups and cooperatives.
• Monitor crop performance and prepare technical reports.
• Coordinate with the Agriculture Department, KVKs and research institutions.

• Mobilise farmers, women and community members to participate in project activities.
• Facilitate the formation and strengthening of women-led cooperatives and producer groups.

• Support the implementation of agriculture, livestock and livelihood interventions.
