ABOUT THE ROLE
A District Programme Lead - Public Policy in Action (PPiA) is a collaborative, people-centered problem-solver committed to public service. Stationed at the District Headquarters, the District Programme Lead (PPiA) plays a pivotal role in supporting the local administration to achieve transformative district development over the programme duration.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of full-time work experience.
  • Education: Graduate degree from a recognised university, in any discipline.
  • Age: Must be below 30 years of age.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel and work in rural areas.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking professionals to support district administrations in planning, monitoring, and delivering government schemes more effectively. The role combines analytical rigour with ground-level fieldwork, anchoring the district's development agenda in close partnership with local officials and communities.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • District & Block Planning: Assist the district administration in preparing robust District and Block Action Plans aligned with TADP and ABP priorities.
  • Data & Monitoring: Strengthen data ecosystems through improved data flow, analysis, and visualization, enabling timely and targeted interventions.
  • Scheme Delivery: Enhance delivery efficacy of government schemes by supporting better planning, interdepartmental coordination, and rigorous monitoring mechanisms.
  • Ground-Truthing: Conduct ground-truthing of schemes and share real-time feedback to aid in iterative planning and policy refinement.
  • Lakhpati Didi Support: Provide strategic and operational support to the Lakhpati Didi programme under DAY-NRLM, aimed at enhancing SHG household incomes.
  • Scheme Convergence: Facilitate convergence of multiple government schemes (central and state) through coordinated planning with line departments.
  • Participatory Governance: Promote participatory governance by integrating Village Prosperity & Resilience Plans with Gram Panchayat Development Plans (GPDP).
  • Knowledge Management: Lead efforts in documenting innovations, case studies, and success stories from the field; support peer learning within and across districts.
  • Capacity Building: Organize and lead training workshops for district- and block-level officials, field staff, and CBOs.
  • Partnerships: Liaise with local institutions and technical partners to mobilize additional support for impactful solutions.
