About the Program:
VAANI Deaf Children’s Foundation operates a first-of-its-kind Higher Education Academy in Kolkata, designed to provide a structured six-year educational pathway for deaf students, spanning Class 11 through undergraduate studies.
The Academy will integrate academic learning, digital literacy, and life skills, equipping students with the knowledge, competencies, and professional readiness required to secure meaningful employment in corporate and professional environments. Beyond academics, the program aims to empower students to become role models and agents of change within their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement engaging curricula in IT, Design and STEM aligned with industry standards and student needs.
• Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate a variety of instructional strategies to promote active participation and critical thinking.
• Deliver effective technical skills and instruction using diverse teaching methods,
• Utilize a variety of assessment tools and techniques to measure student understanding and progress, providing timely feedback to support growth and achievement.
• Develop a positive environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported in their learning journey.
• Utilize technology to enhance learning experiences.
• Establish a positive and structured classroom environment for effective language acquisition.
• Maintain accurate records of academic performance, attendance and other relevant data.
• Generate and analyse reports to assess the effectiveness of academic programs.
• Conduct AI-based and digital skills training sessions to equip students with emerging technology competencies relevant to future careers.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: 3-5 lacs per annum
Academics: BSc in Computer Science, MSc in Computer Science
Experience: 3-5 years and above of teaching experience

6. Basic Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
7. Effective classroom management and organisational abilities.
8. Proficiency in English is essential; working knowledge of Indian Sign Language (ISL) is an added advantage/ willingness to undergo training is essential (Training provided)
