About the Project
Garima Greh is a shelter home for transgender persons established under the SMILE (Support for Marginalized Individuals for Livelihood and Enterprise) Scheme of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The project aims to provide shelter, food, medical care, counselling, skill development, and recreational facilities to transgender persons in need.
Educational Qualification and Experience
* Bachelor's Degree (BA Pass) is mandatory.
* Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in office work is required.
Desirable
* Transgender candidates, particularly those belonging to Bhopal, will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate with other staff members to identify the day-to-day requirements of the shelter home.
* Undertake purchase of ration, groceries, furniture, and other items after approval from the competent authority.
* Compile bills, vouchers, and receipts, and hand them over to the Account Assistant.
* Assist in organizing meetings, programmes, games, and recreational activities in consultation with the Doctor, Counsellor, and Bridge Course Coordinator.
* Assist the Project Manager in preparing the weekly schedule and food menu.
Look after the day-to-day affairs of the shelter home and remain available during night hours in addition to the watchman.Skills Required
* Basic knowledge of office work and record-keeping.
* Willingness to undertake fieldwork such as purchase of daily supplies.
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with staff and residents.
* Sensitivity and respect towards the transgender community.
