Basudeo Kanoria Seva Sansthan (BKSS): is a non-profit making charitable trust promoted by Shri Harsh Vardhan Kanoria, Chairman of Group CHEVIOT with a pure philanthropic approach dedicated to the economic upliftment, well-being of poor and needy communities, with a special emphasis on state of Rajasthan.
The Trust has adopted LASADIYA a Tribal Block in Salumber District, near Udaipur, and initiated an Integrated Community Development Program for integrated village development covering of multiple themes, including Watershed and Natural Resource Management, Agriculture and Livelihood Promotion & Education through a hybrid implementation model.
Field Challenges:
Lasadiya is an interior tribal block, with challenging terrain, limited infrastructure, connectivity constraints, and scattered habitations.
The wide geographical spread of the intervention area requires more field efforts and hard working to ensure quality implementation, effective outreach, and properly maintain of our area.
Project Coordinator -NRM / Watershed:
Location: Project Office, Lasadiya, District Salumber, Rajasthan
Educational Qualification: B.Tech. in Agricultural / B.Sc. Agri/MSW
Experience: 10+ Years, in planning, supervising, and effectively managing diverse responsibilities.
Age: 30–35 years
Essential Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional field experience in Natural Resource Management, watershed development, soil and water conservation, or integrated rural development.
- Strong hands-on experience in watershed planning and implementation using the Ridge-to-Valley approach.
- Field experience in planning and supervising soil and water conservation structures and landscape-level interventions.
- Experience in working with rural/tribal communities, community institutions, partner organisations, and line departments.
- Experience in monitoring the quality, progress, and sustainability of NRM/watershed interventions.
Technical Competencies:
The candidate should have a sound understanding of:
- Ridge-to-Valley watershed development approach
- Watershed delineation, drainage-line treatment, and landscape-level planning
- Field bunding, contour trenches/CCT, staggered trenches and vegetative measures
- lose Boulder Structures, Loose Stone Check Dams, Gabions and other drainage-line treatments
- Check dams, anicuts, farm ponds and other water-harvesting structures
- Treatment prioritisation based on slope, drainage, runoff, soil and land-use characteristics
- Agricultural land and common-land development, pasture and vegetation development.
- Integration of NRM with agriculture and livestock-based livelihoods
- GIS/GPS-based watershed planning and mapping will be an added advantage
- Preparation/review of technical estimates, designs, BoQs and measurement/quality-control systems
Key Competencies:
- Strong technical and field-oriented approach to watershed development.
- Ability to translate watershed concepts into practical, implementable field plans.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Good team coordination and field supervision capabilities.
- Ability to work in challenging rural and tribal environments.
- Good communication skills in Hindi and English.
- High degree of ownership, accountability, integrity, and commitment to sustainable development.
Remuneration:
Salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and suitability for the position. Compensation will not be a constraint for the right and deserving candidate.
Logistics: Personal 2-wheeler is a necessity for all three positions. Petrol reimbursement shall be provided for official use on per km basis.
