At Sakshi, we believe that preventing gender-based violence starts before the crisis. This belief has shaped our work for over three decades and continues to guide every programme we implement.
The Rakshin Project by Sakshi aims to equip young college-going students and community members with rights-based language and an understanding of gender equality within households and communities to prevent gender-based violence by interrupting the cycle of violence and preventing harm. Implemented in partnership with the NSS Directorate, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, we have reached over 1,20,000 students across the country from 1750+ colleges and universities, spread across all the states and UTs of India.

Who Can Apply?
We are looking for enthusiastic and responsible college students/Recently Graduated who are interested
in working with communities and contributing to awareness-building and training activities.
Students from different academic backgrounds may apply, particularly those who have an interest in:
? Community development
? Social work and social sciences
? Gender and social justice
? Education and training
? Legal and rights-based awareness
? Community mobilisation
? Public speaking and facilitation

Key Responsibilities
As a Campus Ambassador, the selected student will visit different communities within the assigned
project area and independently conduct assigned field activities and community-level awareness
sessions, engaging with community members, and ensuring proper documentation of all field activities.

Eligibility & Selection Preference
Eligibility
? Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree from a recognised college/university.
? Willing to commit to the complete 30-day engagement.
? Willing to undertake field visits and community-based activities in the assigned project area.
? Good communication and interpersonal skills.
? Comfortable interacting with diverse groups of people.
? Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
? Basic documentation and reporting skills will be an advantage.
? The student must be based in the respective district where the internship is being offered.

Duration & Commitment
The Campus Ambassador engagement will be for 30 days.
Selected students are expected to:
? Commit to the full duration of the engagement.
? Participate actively in assigned field activities and training programmes.
? Follow the schedule and responsibilities communicated by the Sakshi team.
? Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while working with communities.
? Complete assigned documentation and reporting requirements.
