Project: Tribal TB Active Case Finding Initiative
Location: Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka
The following role will provide overall strategic and operational leadership for the implementation of the Tribal TB Active Case Finding Initiative across the assigned state, ensuring effective coordination, supervision, monitoring, reporting, and linkage to TB treatment under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP).
Role Summary
• Get trained in SOPs & Protocol of Community-based screening of tribal population in India under NTEP and under this project.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for project implementation across the assigned state and ensure achievement of project targets and objectives.
• Supervise and provide guidance to District Program Managers, Block Program Managers, Community Mobilizers, Radiographers, Laboratory Technicians, and other project staff.
• Coordinate with the State TB Cell, District Collectors, DTOs, CMOs, NTEP officials, and other government stakeholders for effective implementation of project activities.
• Oversee community-based TB screening, diagnostic services, treatment linkage, contact tracing, and TB Preventive Treatment (TPT) activities across project districts.
• Review district and state-level program performance, monitoring indicators, screening and diagnostic data, and identify gaps requiring corrective action.
• Ensure quality, completeness, and timely reporting of program data and project reports as per NTEP and project requirements.
• Conduct regular state and district review meetings and field visits to monitor implementation, provide guidance, and address operational challenges.
• Support capacity building of project teams through training, mentoring, and supportive supervision based on identified implementation gaps.
• Ensure effective utilization of human resources, equipment, supplies, and other project resources and facilitate timely resolution of operational and logistical challenges.
• Represent the organization in state-level meetings, consultations, workshops, and review meetings with government and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and review state-level progress reports, presentations, and other program documentation and support documentation of key achievements, challenges, and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
Qualification and experience requirements will vary by state hiring norms but should align with relevant public health, clinical, health management, social work, management, life sciences, or related backgrounds. Experience in managing multi-district/state-level health programs and government stakeholder engagement will be preferred.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in public health / health management / social work / management / Life Sciences or related field.
Experience: 5–6 years of experience in public health programs, preferably TB, NTEP, community health, or related health initiatives, including experience in managing multi-district/state-level programs and government stakeholder engagement.
