About the Project: Samarth Samuday Pariyojana is being implemented in 10 villages of Kaiserganj Block in Bahraich District. The area is flood prone and communities face difficulties during the flood season. The project focuses on helping communities prepare for and respond to disasters, while also addressing food and nutrition, WASH, and sustainable agriculture. Through these interventions, the project aims to reduce the risks faced by communities and support them in building more resilient and sustainable livelihoods.
About the Position: Sahbhagi Shikshan Kendra (SSK) is looking for a Program Lead for the Samarth Samuday Pariyojana. The Program Lead will be responsible for managing and coordinating the project team, donor coordination and reporting, and ensuring timely completion of project activities and deliverables. The position will be based at the SSK Head Office in Lucknow, with frequent visits to Kaiserganj, Bahraich (approximately 100 km from Lucknow) for project monitoring, team coordination and support. The candidate should have knowledge and experience in WASH, food and nutrition, disaster risk reduction- mitigation and relief, and related areas.
Educational Qualification:
- Post Graduate in Rural Management or any other social science discipline
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of full-time experience in a leadership role in the development sector
- Good command of both Hindi and English (verbal as well as written)
- Computer proficiency
- Experience in project reporting, documentation and preparation of project publication
- Strong donor liaising
- Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with the local community
- Candidates who are willing to travel frequently are encouraged to apply
Age: 30–45 years, with relevant experience and suitable skill set for the position
Roles and responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the project team and ensure smooth implementation of project activities
- Provide regular guidance and support to the local team and address related challenges
- Monitor project activities and ensure timely completion of project deliverables
- Coordinate with the donor and support timely preparation and submission of donor reports and project updates
- Regularly visit the project location in Kaiserganj for monitoring, team coordination and field level support
- Build and maintain good communication with local community members and support the team in strengthening community engagement
- Support the team in planning and implementing interventions related to WASH, food and nutrition, disaster risk reduction, and sustainable agriculture
- Track project progress, identify gaps and work with the team to address them
- Maintain proper project documentation and support the preparation of reports, case studies and other project related documents
- Support the development and preparation of bilingual project publications
