Job Purpose
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, accounting documentation, project-related financial transactions, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain books of accounts, vouchers, bills and financial records.
• Record and verify project-related financial transactions.
• Prepare financial statements, reports and supporting documents.
• Maintain cash book, ledger, bank reconciliation and supporting records.
• Support preparation of project budgets and expenditure statements.
• Ensure proper filing and maintenance of financial documents.
• Coordinate with project and administrative teams regarding financial documentation.
• Assist during internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with organizational financial procedures and requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
• B.Com / M.Com from a recognized institution.
• Relevant experience in accounting, finance or project accounts will be preferred.
• Working knowledge of Tally and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, vouchers and financial documentation.
• Good numerical, analytical and organizational skills.
• Experience in NGO/project accounting will be an added advantage.
Compensation
• Salary will be based on relevant experience, qualification and organizational norms.
