POSITION PURPOSE:
The optometrist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye exams for professional truck drivers. Your work directly impacts road safety by diagnosing and correcting vision issues common in long-haul driving. This role requires efficiency, compliance with transport safety standards, and excellent patient communication skills. S/he will have to maintain the data of the clients. The person will work closely with the Apollo Tyres Foundation and the project Coordinator.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position will require close coordination with Project Coordinator and will be providing the support to the Truckers community in the below mentioned areas-
· Vision (near vision, distance, vision, and color blindness)
• Prescription of glass as per Power
• Counsel the beneficiaries for wearing the spectacles
• Maintain records related to vision care
• Cataract Referral and follow up
• Generate monthly report and submit to project coordinator
• Analyze OPD data related to vision and shared to project coordinator
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Diploma in Optometry
• At least 3-5 years of experience in the Optometry area and worked in Community on the Vision related work.
SKILLS:
• Leadership ability, including the capacity to set and manage accountability of self and others.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing in English and Hindi and to make effective presentations to the communication team.

• On the completion of working days as per the timelines
• On submission of the work details on completion
