Position Overview: Program Manager cum District Coordinator
BJUP is looking for an experienced development professional to lead and coordinate a programme focusing on bonded labour, labour rights, rehabilitation and social protection. The position will be responsible for programme planning, implementation, team supervision, government convergence, case monitoring, documentation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead overall implementation of the programme at the district level and prepare periodic work plans.
• Supervise Field Coordinators, case-support staff and other programme personnel.
• Facilitate identification, verification, release, rehabilitation and follow-up of bonded labourers and vulnerable workers.
• Coordinate with District Administration, Labour Department, Police, DLSA, Social Welfare Department and other institutions.
• Ensure government convergence, access to entitlements and timely rehabilitation support.
• Maintain programme MIS, case records, supporting documentation and donor reports.
• Organise stakeholder meetings, consultations, awareness programmes and capacity-building activities.
• Monitor programme quality, outputs and outcomes and represent BJUP at relevant forums.
Location: Nalanda, Bihar (1 Post) Compensation: Rs. 35,000-Rs. 40,000 per month, depending upon experience, knowledge and suitability.
Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Rural Development, Development Studies or a related discipline.
• Candidates with educational exposure to Law or Criminology will have an added advantage.
• Preferably 5-7 years of relevant professional experience, including programme/project management and team supervision.
• Experience in bonded labour, labour rights, trafficking, migration, rehabilitation, social protection or rights-based programmes is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of government convergence, district-level stakeholder coordination, case management and rehabilitation processes.
• Strong documentation, reporting, communication and team leadership skills; willingness to undertake frequent field visits.
• Exceptional freshers/recent graduates from premier institutions such as TISS or other reputed social work/development institutes may also be considered where they demonstrate strong subject knowledge and aptitude.
