We are a not-for-profit trust that focuses on research-led innovation and advocacy in the field of teaching and learning. We engage with educators, civil society, government institutions, and corporate organizations to demonstrate and enable scalable and replicable solutions in school education and vocational training.

The organization gives you the space to learn and grow in a fun and engaging environment. We have an eclectic group of people working at Quest drawn from diverse disciplines including Education, Technology, Design, Youth Development and Business.

About the Program
MyQuest’s objective is to provide a holistic development platform for young people as well as provide a lifelong, continuous learning opportunity to disadvantaged youth. We use content, pedagogy and technology to drive the delivery of teaching and learning. Through our signature blended learning approach, we develop critical life-work skills that are important for success in the 21st century.

As part of the Green initiative, Quest Alliance works towards enabling young people and educators to develop a strong green mindset, understand emerging green careers and build skills relevant to the evolving green economy.

The Program Officer - Green will play a critical role in taking the Green mandate from a facilitator-led intervention to a state-wide, institutionally embedded and sustainable model across ITIs in Madhya Pradesh. The role will work closely with the Directorate of Skill Development, district-level functionaries, ITI leadership, instructors, master trainers, industry and other ecosystem stakeholders to strengthen the implementation of Green education and practices across the ITI system.

The role will focus on mainstreaming Green within the ITI ecosystem, including supporting the integration and implementation of Green curriculum, building the capacity of trainers and institutional leadership, strengthening digital and classroom engagement, facilitating experiential learning opportunities, developing institute-level Green practices, and generating evidence and learning for scale.
The position requires a strong understanding of the Green economy, green careers and sustainability, along with the ability to work strategically with government systems, build stakeholder ownership, manage implementation across multiple locations, and translate program strategy into effective field execution.

Role & Responsibilities

1. State-level Green Program Implementation & Mainstreaming
  • Lead the implementation of the Green mandate across ITIs in Madhya Pradesh in alignment with Quest Alliance’s program strategy and government priorities.
  • Develop and support a state-wide implementation approach for integrating Green education, green mindset and green career awareness into regular ITI training.
  • Work with the Directorate, district officials and institute leadership to build ownership and institutional mechanisms for sustained Green implementation.
  • Support the development of annual and quarterly implementation plans, targets and priorities for Green across the state.
  • Identify implementation gaps and develop context-specific strategies to improve the quality, coverage and consistency of Green implementation.
  • Support ITIs in moving from one-time Green activities towards sustained, institute-level Green practices and learner engagement.
2. Government & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the Directorate of Skill Development, district-level officials, ITI principals, Trade Training Officers, instructors and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular dialogue with government stakeholders to review progress, identify challenges and strengthen the institutionalization of Green.
  • Support government counterparts in integrating Green priorities into existing ITI systems, processes, training and review mechanisms.
  • Represent Quest Alliance in relevant state, district and institute-level forums related to Green skills, sustainability and vocational education.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration with government, industry, civil society organizations and other ecosystem partners to strengthen Green outcomes.
3. Capacity Building of Trainers & Functionaries
  • Design and coordinate capacity-building interventions for Trade Training Officers, instructors, master trainers and other relevant functionaries on Green.
  • Support the delivery of Training of Trainers (ToTs), refresher trainings, orientations and communities of practice.
  • Enable trainers to effectively use Green curriculum, activity-based pedagogies, digital resources and experiential learning approaches.
  • Develop mechanisms for ongoing handholding, mentoring and support to trainers beyond formal training workshops.
  • Build a cadre of Green champions within the ITI ecosystem who can support sustained implementation and peer learning.
4. Curriculum & Pedagogy Implementation
  • Support the rollout, contextualization and effective use of Green curriculum modules, toolkits and activity-based learning resources.
  • Work with trainers to strengthen classroom implementation of Green concepts rather than limiting engagement to digital content completion.
  • Identify field-level feedback on curriculum and pedagogy and share insights with relevant Quest teams for continuous improvement.
  • Promote interactive, experiential and learner-centred approaches to Green education, including hands-on eco-activities, projects and discussions.
  • Support integration of Green themes with relevant trade training and institute-level activities wherever appropriate.
5. Digital Learning & Implementation Tracking
  • Support effective implementation and utilization of Green content on the MyQuest App across ITIs.
  • Monitor learner and trainer engagement with Green digital modules, assessments and other learning resources.
  • Triangulate digital data with classroom and field-level evidence to assess the quality and depth of implementation.
  • Identify institutes, districts or learner groups requiring additional support and facilitate targeted interventions.
  • Maintain regular implementation dashboards, trackers and review mechanisms to monitor state-wide progress.
6. Green Careers & Industry Engagement
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of emerging green sectors, occupations, skills and career pathways relevant to ITI learners in Madhya Pradesh.
  • Map relevant green industries, enterprises, institutions and initiatives across the state to create contextual exposure and career opportunities for learners.
  • Build partnerships with industry and ecosystem stakeholders to facilitate exposure visits, interactions, projects, internships and other experiential opportunities in green sectors.
  • Support trainers and learners in understanding the changing nature of work and emerging opportunities in the green economy.
  • Facilitate career-oriented engagement that connects Green learning with real-world employment opportunities.
7. Institute-level Green Practices & Learner Engagement
  • Support ITIs in establishing and strengthening institute-level Green practices and initiatives.
  • Mentor Green Clubs, learner-led projects and other experiential activities that encourage students to take ownership of sustainability-related actions.
  • Encourage ITIs to identify locally relevant environmental challenges and develop learner-led responses or projects around them.
  • Document and showcase promising institute-level practices that can be replicated across the state.
8. Monitoring, Learning & Documentation
  • Develop and maintain systems to track implementation, participation, quality and outcomes of the Green program across districts and ITIs.
  • Conduct regular field visits to understand implementation quality, provide on-ground support and capture field insights.
  • Document success stories, innovations, challenges and good practices emerging from the field.
  • Generate periodic implementation reports and analytical insights for internal and government review.
  • Use data and field evidence to identify trends, inform decision-making and strengthen program strategy.
  • Contribute to knowledge products, case studies and learning documents that support the scaling of the Green model.
9. Team Collaboration & Program Development
  • Work closely with Quest Alliance’s state, regional and central teams to align implementation with broader Green strategy and organizational priorities.
  • Collaborate with content, pedagogy, technology, monitoring and other internal teams to strengthen the overall Green learning ecosystem.
  • Contribute to program design, experimentation and continuous improvement based on field realities and emerging opportunities.
  • Support the team in identifying scalable and replicable approaches for mainstreaming Green across government ITIs.
10. Travel & Field Engagement
