We're hiring -- Project Associate (ClimAct)

Habitat Forum (INHAF) is looking for a Project Associate to support the ClimAct project in Chennai, with a primary focus on climate research, analysis, and knowledge development related to climate justice in the city.

Location: Chennai (or willing to relocate to Chennai)
Duration: Project-based (immediate joining preferred)

Role responsibilities:

Research and analysis (primary focus)
* Conduct research and analysis on climate initiatives, sectoral climate risks, and urban systems in Chennai
* Support documentation related to climate justice, circular economy linkages, and climate resilience work
* Contribute to presentations, concept notes, and knowledge outputs under the ClimAct project

Institutional and field support (secondary focus)
* Coordinate with educational institutions for climate awareness initiatives
* Support workshops, consultations, and stakeholder engagement activities
* Assist in documentation, reporting, and activity tracking
* Provide support during field execution of project activities when required

Who can apply:

Environmental Studies
Climate Change / Sustainability
Development Studies
Public Policy / Urban Studies
Or related fields

Skills required:
* Strong research and analytical skills
* Interest in climate justice and urban climate action
* Ability to work with institutions and community stakeholders
* Proficiency in Tamil (required for coordination and field interaction)
* Based in Chennai or willing to relocate
