Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager/ Manager – HR Compliances to implement the organization’s HR and labour-law compliance framework across locations and business units.
 
The role will be responsible for managing the time and attendance function from the HROne portal, oversee and ensure completion of the monthly staff attendance sheet, through proper in/out punches or attendance regularization, leaves and holidays. The incumbent will ensure the staff exit procedure and final settlement payment is as per the provisions of the relevant Wage Code. The incumbent will also ensure timely and accurate compliance with applicable central and state labour laws, statutory filings, registers, licenses, returns, inspections, audits, and regulatory requirements. The position will partner closely with HR, Finance, project teams, and external consultants to identify compliance risks and ensure appropriate mitigation.
 
They should be a pro-active professional who would guide the team, wherever needed, as per the company’s policies and procedures, code of conduct and house rules as detailed out in HR Manual. They should keep themselves abreast of all the HR/labour compliances, statutory acts & laws and will ensure that the organization follows all necessary labour compliances. They should be aware of standard compensation and benefits (C&B) structure, industry-wide C&B benchmarking, cost of living index etc. This work-from-office position is based at Gurugram, Haryana and will report to the HR Lead. 
 
Responsibilities
 
1.                Payroll & Compliance Integration
  • Review payroll-related statutory compliance, identify discrepancies and take corrective actions.
  • Ensure all the staff timesheets, attendance records, leave records, payroll inputs are maintained properly and shared with Finance on a monthly basis.
  • Manage the employee exit cycle in accordance with internal policies and legal guidelines, ensuring timely processing, accurate final settlements, and thorough documentation in coordination with Finance.
  • Ensure proper applicability and implementation of applicable wage structures and statutory thresholds.
2.                Statutory & Labour Law Compliance
  • Maintain end-to-end legal compliance across all corporate operating locations by enforcing adherence to statutory labour and employment frameworks.
  • Monitor compliance under applicable laws relating to: Provident Fund (PF), Employees’ State Insurance (ESI), Labour Welfare Fund (LWF), Gratuity, Minimum Wages, Maternity Benefits, Shops and Establishment Act and applicable Wage Code.
  • Proactively track and evaluate regulatory changes, monitoring new legislative updates, circulars, and government notifications to determine their impact on business operations and ensure its implementation.
  • Execute rollouts of mandatory policy adjustments and operational changes.
3.                Compliance Governance & Controls
  • Establish and maintain a robust HR compliance framework, calendar, SOPs, checklists, and control mechanisms.
  • Develop standardized compliance processes across locations.
  • Ensure timely filing of statutory returns, payments, registers, notices, licenses, renewals, and other regulatory submissions.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and evidence for all compliance activities.
  • Identify compliance gaps and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
4.                Audit & Inspection Management
  • Coordinate internal and external HR compliance audits.
  • Manage labour department inspections, PF/ESI inspections, and other statutory inspections.
  • Coordinate responses to notices, queries, observations, and assessments from regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure timely closure of audit findings and statutory observations.
  • Maintain an organized repository of compliance records and inspection documentation.
  • Maintain end-to-end legal compliance across all corporate operating locations by enforcing adherence to statutory labour and employment frameworks.
5.                Surveys and Benchmarking Analysis 
  • Participate/lead the employee satisfaction survey, compensation benchmarking survey and ensure 100% compliance, as and when scheduled.
6.                Support in Policy Reviews and System Strengthening
  • Collaborate with the HR Lead to structure, frame, and review current policies, ensuring they remain modern, relevant, and aligned with organizational needs.
  • Anticipate and address HR compliance risks by proactively identifying upcoming challenges and propose practical mitigation strategies.
  • Drive system strengthening by designing and introducing innovative programs, methodologies, and activities.
Qualifications and Skills
JSIPL seeks a results-oriented individual with the ability to produce high quality deliverables, managing multiple concurrent tasks, and meet tight deadlines with attention to detail. The successful candidate is required to have:
  • Graduate/Postgraduate degree in HR, Labour Laws, Law, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • 10 – 15 years of experience in HR statutory compliance, labour compliance, employee relations, payroll compliance, or related areas.
  • Experience managing compliance across multiple locations/entities will be preferred.
  • Strong understanding of PF, ESI, LWF, gratuity, bonus, wages, contract labour, Shops & Establishments, New Wage Code, POSH, and related statutory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of payroll and statutory compliance processes.
  • Experience in managing statutory audits and labour inspections.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong ownership mindset.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and HRMS/payroll systems. Prior knowledge of HROne will be preferred.
