About Poshan Mindcare
Poshan Mindcare partners with schools to deliver structured, evidence-informed mental health programmes across prevention, early intervention and high-risk support.
We recruit, train, supervise and support mental health professionals working inside schools — helping students, teachers and parents build emotionally safe, inclusive learning environments.
Why this role is different
You won’t be a lone counsellor sitting in a staff room.
You’ll join a clinical team with structured supervision from a NIMHANS-trained psychiatric social worker, work within a clearly defined tiered mental health model, and have a genuine progression path as Poshan Mindcare grows.
What You’ll Do
Whole-School Work
• Deliver classroom sessions on life skills, wellbeing and mental health literacy
• Run parent awareness sessions
• Facilitate teacher capacity-building workshops Clinical Practice
• Provide individual counselling to students
• Conduct small-group therapeutic interventions
• Undertake risk assessments, safety planning and crisis support Beyond the Classroom
• Support families through our out-of-school consultation and referral service
• Coordinate onward referrals with relevant specialists
• Collaborate with school leadership
• Maintain appropriate clinical and programme records
Who We’re Looking For
We particularly welcome applications from clinical psychologists, counselling psychologists and psychiatric social workers who want to build depth and experience in child and adolescent mental health.
Relevant qualifications may include:
• M.Phil. Clinical Psychology (RCI)
• M.Phil. Psychiatric Social Work
• M.A./M.Sc. Clinical or Counselling Psychology
• M.A. Applied Psychology
We’re looking for someone with:
• Strong communication, rapport-building and documentation skills
• An interest in autism, ADHD, learning differences and behavioural work
• Confidence working with students, parents and school staff
• Intermediate proficiency in English

A Broad Clinical Caseload -Work across all three tiers of our school mental health model, alongside out-of-school consultation and referral cases beyond the school setting.
Transport Provided- Travel to and between school campuses is arranged by Poshan Mindcare.
Research & Publication- Guidance, mentorship, and permission to publish work arising from your practice with us — subject to appropriate parental consent, full anonymisation of any child or school data.
