Nari Gunjan (Women’s Voice), founded in 1987 under the leadership of Padmashree awardee Sudha Varghese, is a non-profit organization based in Patna, Bihar. The organization has been working extensively with the Musahar community, focusing on women’s economic empowerment, education, and health. In collaboration with an international agency, Nari Gunjan is implementing a project to mainstream out-of-school children across 5 blocks named Punpun, Bihta, Phulwarisharif, Danapur, Marhaura covering. The Mobile Learning Resource Centre initiative is a unique intervention which is used to create mass scale awareness and reaching out to targeted groups and community. This programme aims to ensure girls are mainstreamed in government schools.

Role Purpose
The ICT ensures academic quality improvement across Learning Centres (LCs) by mentoring teachers, tracking alumni outcomes, and facilitating community engagement. The role requires close coordination with Community Mobilizers (CM) and Block Coordinators (BC) to avoid duplication, strengthen accountability, and address academic challenges faced by the Musahar community.

The ICT is expected to dedicate four hours daily at the Learning Centre—two hours in the morning (7:00 AM to 11:00 AM) and two hours in the evening (3:00 PM to 6:00 PM)—while also engaging in community-based activities alongside the Learning Centre.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Classroom Observation & Quality Improvement
• Conduct structured classroom observations during the designated morning and evening sessions (7:00–11:00 AM and 3:00–6:00 PM).
• Maintain classroom observation records and prepare improvement plans for each teacher.
• Conduct structured classroom observations using ICT reporting formats.
• Assess lesson planning, MGML, FLN, TLM usage, English communication, and student engagement.
• Identify gaps and prepare teacher-specific improvement plans.
• Report findings to Program Manager and BC for follow-up.

2. Teacher Coaching & Demonstration
• Deliver mentoring sessions and demonstration classes within the scheduled Learning Centre hours.
• Provide one-to-one coaching aligned with the daily four-hour engagement framework.
• Lead teacher mentoring sessions and demonstration classes.
• Provide targeted support in lesson planning, MGML, FLN, TLM, and classroom management.
• Coordinate with BC and CM to ensure teacher follow-up and progress tracking.
• Support teachers in:
? Lesson planning
? MGML implementation
? Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN)
? Teaching-Learning Materials (TLM) usage
? English communication activities
? Activity-based methodologies
? Classroom management techniques
• Document coaching outcomes in ICT reporting tools.

3. Community Engagement & Coordination
• Dedicate part of the daily schedule to community-based activities alongside Learning Centre responsibilities.
• Facilitate academic content in community meetings and ensure parent follow-up during designated hours.
• Work with CM for mobilisation (e.g., mothers’ meetings, adolescent groups & Others), logistics, and parent follow-up.
• Support beneficiary identification and verification only where academic quality requires.
• Ensure alignment with CM’s social security and mobilisation responsibilities.

4. Alumni Tracking & Outcome Monitoring
• Maintain alumni records using Child Code-based ICT tracker.
• Track educational progression, employment, and wellbeing outcomes.
• Coordinate with CM for tracing and contact verification.
• Report alumni outcomes in monthly dashboards.

5. Nutrition & Child Wellbeing
• Observe classroom-level nutrition and hygiene practices.
• Integrate nutrition awareness into academic sessions.
• Share findings with CM for community-level follow-up.
• Report nutrition indicators in ICT academic reports.

6. Reporting & Documentation
• Submit daily, fortnightly, and monthly reports using ICT automated formats.
• Document success stories, case studies, and academic improvements.
• Maintain separate reporting streams for academic quality (ICT) and community mobilisation (CM).
• Provide evidence for program impact and compliance.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Number of classroom observations completed.
• Number of teachers coached and demonstration classes delivered.
• Improvement in teacher performance and student learning outcomes.
• Alumni tracked and verified through Child Code system.
• Nutrition and wellbeing indicators observed and reported.
• Community meetings facilitated with CM coordination.
• Success stories documented and shared.
• Timeliness and accuracy of ICT reporting formats.
• Nutrition monitoring outcomes (attendance, participation, health indicators).
• Number of success stories documented and shared each quarter.
• Timeliness and quality of reports submitted to Program Manager.

Required Qualifications
• Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in teacher training, classroom mentoring, or academic programme implementation.
• Strong understanding of FLN, MGML, and nutrition education.
• Experience in community engagement and working with marginalized groups.
• Ability to prepare structured reports and impact documentation.

Remuneration
The position carries an honorarium of 20,000 per month
Travel allowance of 5,000 per month, recognizing both the teaching responsibilities and the need for mobility in fulfilling project objectives.
