JOB MISSION
The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of TFI interventions across multiple cases and teams.
The role exists to translate program intent into strong on-ground practice by supervising Case Workers, strengthening decision-making, and ensuring that family interventions lead to sustained child safety and family stability.
The Coordinator acts as the critical bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring that casework across families is legally sound, ethically grounded, and outcome-driven, while aligning with directions from the Child Welfare Committee (CWC).

SCOPE OF ROLE
Ensures quality of case management across the TFI portfolio
Mentor and oversee multiple Case Workers
Indirect oversight of Field Workers through Case Workers
Supports program strengthening, learning, and system coordination

PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES
CASE MANAGEMENT QUALITY OVERSIGHT AND OUTCOMES
Ensure that children demonstrate progress toward child safety, reduced risk, and strengthened family functioning by ensuring quality and consistency across all stages of case management
Ensure integration of gender, mental wellbeing, health, and social protection services
Strengthen safeguarding practices and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in alignment with TARA’s mission to empower and protect children
Provide direct support to Case Workers in complex and high risk cases, and ensure timely escalation to senior leadership when required
Work towards creating a functional referral pathways to ensure timely support children and families
Review case trajectories to identify gaps, delays, or ineffective interventions
Monitor caseload distribution, complexity and workload balance among the team members
SUPERVISION & CAPACITY BUILDING OF CASE WORKERS
Provide regular supervision, case discussions, and reflective spaces for Case Workers
Strengthen assessment, care planning, and family engagement quality across the team
Identify skill gaps and support continuous learning through mentoring and training inputs
Build accountability while fostering a supportive and high-performance team culture

PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION & PRACTICE CONSISTENCY
Ensure consistent application of TFI principles, processes, and standards across all cases
Translate program frameworks into actionable guidance for Case Workers
Monitor adherence to care planning cycles, intervention intensity, and exit readiness
Drive alignment between field realities and program design

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COORDINATION & STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
Strengthen coordination with key stakeholders (CWC, DCPU, police, hospitals, NGOs, etc.)
Represent the program in external forums, meetings, and partnerships when required
Support resolution of systemic bottlenecks affecting multiple families
Work closely with the Counsellor to ensure integration of psychosocial interventions into family care plans
Coordinate with the Health Care team for health assessments, referrals, and follow-ups
Facilitate case-based convergence & review meetings including cross function teams

STATUTORY REPORTING & CWC INTERFACE
Ensure accurate, timely, and well-reasoned reporting to the Child Welfare Committee
Produce cases before the CWC and support families through statutory processes
Flag non-cooperation, safeguarding concerns, or escalation risks promptly
Contribute professional assessments that support informed judicial decision-making
Support Case Workers in handling complex CWC interactions and legal processes
Build and maintain credibility with statutory bodies and partner institutions
Ensure compliance with legal mandates, child protection standards, and documentation norms

CRISIS OVERSIGHT & RISK MANAGEMENT
Guide response in high-risk or crisis situations, ensuring timely and appropriate action
Support Case Workers in balancing urgency with sound professional judgement
Identify systemic or recurring risks across cases and recommend preventive strategies
Escalate critical concerns to the Head of Family-Based Programs

DOCUMENTATION, MONITORING, LEARNING & ACCOUNTABILITY
Review case management data, documentation, and progress indicators to assess effectiveness
Identify trends across cases to inform program improvements and risk mitigation
Ensure documentation reflects analysis, outcomes, and decision-making quality
Support periodic reviews, evaluations, and reporting processes

TEAM LEADERSHIP & PROGRAM STRENGTHENING
Foster a culture of ethical practice, reflection, and accountability within the team
Contribute to development of tools, SOPs, and frameworks for stronger implementation
Contribute to the development, innovation and continuous strengthening of the Tara Family based Programme
Support onboarding and integration of new Case Workers

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Education Qualification
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, Sociology, or a related field
Formal training in child protection, family systems, or counselling is an added advantage

Experience Requirements
Minimum 4–7 years of relevant experience in child protection, family strengthening, or intensive case management
Prior experience working with high-risk or vulnerable families is essential
Exposure to statutory systems such as CWC, DCPU, police, courts, or government departments preferred
Experience supervising or closely guiding front-line staff is desirable
