POSITION ROLE
Field Officer, Programs will play a key role in supporting the execution of agreed intervention of Bhubaneswar Child Development program. Working closely with the project team, the incumbent will contribute in quality implementation of the project, stakeholders’ engagement, managing the community mobilisers and provide operational support to ensure the successful implementation of interventions at the project level.
 
Remain alert and responsive to any safeguarding risks; acquire and maintain the relevant knowledge and skills necessary to promote strong safeguarding practices; understand and adhere to ChildFund India’s Safeguarding Policy and Procedures; and conduct yourself at all times in a manner consistent with ChildFund India’s safeguarding principles and standards.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be responsible for collecting first-hand information from the ground and feeding into program planning upward with the program teams
  • Collaborate with program teams to ensure effective implementation of program deliverables
  • Lead and contribute to developing activity plans and monitoring its execution and outcome.
  • Develop and execute sound program management approach that includes building capacity of field teams, timely monitoring, financial oversight.
  • Coordinate with local partners and multiple stakeholders to enhance quality and effectiveness of program interventions.
  • Establish outcome-based reporting measures and documentation.
  • Engage and strengthen relationship with local level government agencies, civil society organizations and individuals to strengthen organizational presence and work.
  • Promote and participate in local networks/ alliances with like-minded organizations for policy influencing.
  • Identify local resources that can complement ChildFund India’s presence and effectively engage with potential donors and media to promote and expand the scope of the field programs.
  • Represent organization in external forums through presentations, networking, publications, and engagement in the development discourse.
  • Ensure appropriate reports are submitted as per the agreed timeline, monitoring and tracking requirements are being met and established controls are in place.
  • Ensure regular visits to program locations and provide feedback for timely corrective measures.
  • Collect, update and analyse information and generate reports for dissemination.
  • Open to travel for supporting programs across the state/s.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
Education: Bachelor’s in Social Work/ Social Sciences/ Management/ other relevant discipline. Master’s degree is preferred.
Work Experience: Minimum 3years of experience of development work, preferably in program management. Experience of working on any one thematic area (livelihood/ Education/ Health) and knowledge on child rights would be an added advantage.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English both verbal and written, is preferred. Proficiency in additional local languages will be considered an advantage.
 
Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated experience in capacity building of staff including training, mentoring and technical leadership.
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), well versed with computer knowledge and using digital communications.
  • Strong computer skills, with familiarity in using Microsoft Office suite applications.
  • Organized, team player, self-starter and results-oriented individual.
  • Be gender sensitive with strong conviction and skills for the empowerment of excluded and disadvantaged children

EVALUATION AND SELECTION CRITERIA
Step 1: HR Pre-Screening:All Job Applications received will be collated by HR and preliminary screening will be conducted based on the minimum education and experience requirements mentioned above. The Applicants that do not meet the education and experience criteria will not be considered further for the selection process. All the qualified applications will be handed over by HR to the Selection Panel.
 
Step 2: Qualified applications will be further reviewed by the Selection Panel. The Selection Panel will assess and rank all the applications based on the following factors for a maximum of 100 points:

Salary starts at INR 4,95,163 per annum plus benefits, with scope for consideration for adjustment in line with the experience, skills, and knowledge the selected candidate brings.
