About the Role
The State SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for Maharashtra is a senior field leadership role responsible for owning state-level growth, partnerships, and outcomes for DEUKA ASSOCIATION. This is a high-accountability, entrepreneurial position at the intersection of business development, community impact, and operational management.
The State SPOC owns the entire state P&L, drives revenue pipeline across all DDU verticals, leads and develops a team of Territory SPOCs & Block level field coordinators, builds and activates key partnerships, and champions community outcome achievement across all Vatikas in Maharashtra. The role requires a leader who combines field instincts with analytical rigour, and who can hold both revenue targets and community development outcomes simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
State Business Expansion
- Generate and own the state-level revenue pipeline across all DDU verticals
- Identify new territory opportunities within Maharashtra and drive expansion
- Drive acquisition of new SWSMs and Vatikas under the state
- Coordinate with the Core Team to bring service provider demand into state territories
State Partnership Development
- Build and manage state-level partner relationships across Maharashtra
- Activate state-level partner schemes across all Vatikas in the state
- Represent Deuka at state-level forums, programme design meetings, and stakeholder discussions.
State Performance & Revenue Achievement
- Own state revenue target — success fees and ecosystem access fees
- Review Territory SPOC & Field coordinators performance monthly against defined KPIs
- Monitor community outcome achievement across all territories
- Resolve territory-level issues and escalate to Core Team when required
Territory Team Leadership
- Directly manage all Territory SPOCs within Maharashtra
- Conduct weekly check-ins with Territory SPOCs on DDU pipeline and community health
- Build Territory SPOC capability, confidence, and career readiness
- Identify and groom high-potential Territory SPOCs & Field Coordinators for growth
Community Outcome Achievement
- Track and support Swavalamban indicator achievement across all Vatikas in the state
- Monitor women earning >Rs.250/day, LP velocity, Community Chest growth, and dormant household reduction
- Ensure CBS health across all active Vatikas.
- Champion community outcomes in all state-level conversations and reviews
State-Level P&L Management
- Own state P&L — track all revenue inflows and compare against state operating costs monthly
- Review Territory SPOC P&L contributions monthly; ensure every loss-making territory has a turnaround plan within 30 days
- Monitor state-level cost discipline; flag cost overruns to Core Team within defined timeline
- Track the state-level revenue pipeline in coordination with the SWSM P&L Tracker
- Present monthly state P&L to Core Team covering revenue, costs, territory-wise profitability, and top 3 financial risks
Administrative Support to Territory SPOCs
- Ensure all Territory SPOCs have complete onboarding, documentation, and operational readiness before deployment
- Process Territory SPOC expense claims and reimbursements within 7 days of submission (through State Accountant).
- Resolve operational blockers raised by Territory SPOCs within defined TAT.
- Conduct weekly Territory SPOC workload reviews; recommend workload rebalancing to Core Team proactively

- Business Development & Sales Leadership — ability to build and manage revenue pipelines, prospect new territories, and drive partner activation
- Field Team Leadership — experience directly managing a distributed field team with structured cadences
- Stakeholder & Partner Management — able to build and sustain relationships with logistic partners, Suppliers, and ecosystem actors at state level

- Data & Reporting Discipline — ability to track multiple KPIs, maintain trackers, and surface insights in structured reviews

Postgraduate qualification in Business Management / Rural Development/ Marketing, or related field preferred.

Total Experience
|
Minimum 6–8 years of overall professional experience.

Relevant Experience
|
At least 3–4 years in a field-based business development, programme management, or territory/state leadership role.

|
Team Management
|
Demonstrated experience managing a distributed team of ≥8–10 field personnel with structured reporting and review cycles.

|
P&L / Financial Reporting
|
Prior exposure to revenue tracking, cost monitoring, or financial reporting at a team or unit level.
|
|
Sector Preference
|
Livelihoods, grassroots NGO, or similar social impact sectors or Rural Marketing, strongly preferred.
|
|
Maharashtra Context
|
Familiarity with Maharashtra's geography, rural ecosystem and local partner landscape is a significant advantage.

Language
|
Marathi (fluent) and Hindi (working proficiency) essential. English for documentation and reporting.

Technology
|
Proficiency with MS Office / Google Workspace; comfortable with trackers, dashboards, and data reporting tools.

Travel
|
Ability and willingness to travel extensively across Maharashtra (expected 10–15 days of field travel per month).

This is not a coordination or support role. The State SPOC for Maharashtra owns:
- The state-level revenue target and P&L — with full visibility and accountability
- The growth and performance of every Territory SPOC in the state
- The community outcome trajectory of every Vatika (Village) in Maharashtra
- Deuka's representation and relationships at the state level
