JOB DESCRIPTION
Programme Coordinator - School Programme (Centre Support)
Organization: Vidya & Child
Programme: School Programme
Location: Sector 62 Noida
Reporting to: Centre Head
Employment Type: Full-Time, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Saturday (except 2nd & 4th Saturday)

ABOUT VIDYA & CHILD
Vidya & Child works in marginalised communities, exploring the unique potential in each child by providing opportunities for value-integrated learning and development. The organisation runs a School Programme for Nursery to Class 8, an After School Support Programme for Class 9 to Class 12, and a NIOS Programme for children who cannot join a regular mainstream school, along with related family engagement, health, and skill-development initiatives across its centres in Noida.

ROLE SUMMARY
The Programme Coordinator supports the smooth day-to-day functioning of the School Programme at the centre -- covering academic operations (timetable, substitution, calendars, tracking), centre administration (events, donor reporting, health coordination, mainstreaming support), HR coordination, and direct engagement with children and families. The role works closely with the Centre Coordinator, class teachers and the wider programme team, and liaises with academic, HR, donor-relations, health-partner and sports teams outside the centre.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
School Programme Operations
* Prepare and manage the class timetable (Nursery to Class 8) and implement day-to-day changes as required
* Manage daily substitution planning -- reviewing staff leave and availability each evening and morning, and arranging substitutions as per process
* Prepare the centre's monthly calendar, incorporating school-programme milestones, common and internal-meeting schedules, and centre-specific events; track implementation and reschedule as needed
* Support in filling and tracking centre reports and class-owner reports, and feed consolidated updates to the relevant academic/programme leads
* Track the class-wise and academic snapshot trackers on a weekly basis, covering common, group-wise, and child-wise actions
* Own attendance tracking for an identified class -- monitoring attendance challenges and coordinating with class teachers, parents and children to drive improvement
Centre Administration & Coordination
* Support planning and management of field trips, in coordination with teachers and relevant internal/external stakeholders
* Participate in and support fundraising events and other centre-level events as required
* Prepare donor case studies on children/families as per the defined format, for donor reporting and donor visits
* Coordinate health-programme related work for the centre -- including screening coordination with health partners, and maintaining and updating the health tracker for identified critical cases
* Support the mainstreaming and NIOS-transfer process for children moving between school stages, working with families, children and the programme team
HR Coordination
* Support recruitment and induction of new teachers, in coordination with the HR team
* Collect and manage staff leave information, and use it for calendar and timetable planning
Direct Engagement with Children & Families
* Support direct work with identified families on family-vision building
* Support identified engagement areas such as Gender & Sexuality sessions, practical skills work, and related life-skills initiatives for specific classes
* Support coordination of the centre's sports programme with the sports faculty
* Support coordination of volunteer engagement at the centre

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
* Graduate in any discipline; a background in education, social work, or development studies is preferred
* 2-4 years of experience in programme coordination, centre operations, or administrative roles, preferably in the education or development/NGO sector
* Experience working directly with children, families, or community stakeholders is an advantage
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
* Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks and trackers accurately
* Good coordination and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teachers, programme, HR, donor-relations and external partner teams
* Patience, empathy and sensitivity while engaging with children and families facing socio-economic challenges
* Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort with maintaining trackers and reports
* Good command over Hindi (written & spoken); working knowledge of English preferred
* Willingness to take initiative, learn organisational processes, and work flexibly across academic, administrative and family-engagement tasks

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Physical presence at the assigned centre is required daily, except non-working days. Candidates with relevant coordination/administrative experience are preferred; prior NGO or education-sector experience is an advantage. Residing within Noida, preferably close to the centre, is preferred.
Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications, as per NGO/social sector standards.
