TENDER NOTICE
1.Background:
Access to safe drinking water is a fundamental need and a key component of public health and community well-being. In many rural areas of Bahraich and Shravasti, India Mark II handpumps serve as the primary water source. However, several of these handpumps have become partially non-functional due to mechanical wear, damaged platforms, or inadequate drainage systems, leading to water contamination and restricted access for communities.
To ensure continuous and safe access to drinking water, retrofitting and rehabilitation of these handpumps are essential. This initiative focuses on the restoration of 08 handpumps in Bahraich & Shrawasti through technical repairs, platform reconstruction, and installation of soak pits as and where required to manage wastewater effectively.
Objective
- To ensure continuous and adequate access to safe drinking water for marginalized households.
- To improve the functionality of existing India Mark II handpumps.
- To develop a system for regular operation and maintenance (O&M) of community water sources.
Selection Criteria
- Selected handpumps benefit marginalized and underserved communities.

Nature of Work: Retrofitting of 08 (Unit no from 01 to 08) IM-2 Handpump with Platform repair and Soakpit.

2. Terms and Conditions:
- Proposals should be addressed to Jal Seva Charitable Foundation, 2/92, Vishal Khand Gomti Nagar Lucknow 226010
- The Proposal must be on the company letter head with date, signature and company seal. (It is to be signed by the authorized person).
- Subject - Quotation for Retrofitting of 08 (Unit no from 01 to 08) IM-2 Handpump, without subject quotation will not be considered for further process.
- Proposals must be submitted to Procurement Email ID:
- WAIProcurementUP@wateraid.org Any proposal submitted to any other email id will not be considered.
- The Proposal to be submitted as two separate attachments (if you have already submitted before we will consider do not need to submit again)
- Technical proposal as per the BOQ
- Financial proposal in non-editable PDF Format.
- The proposal must have the subject mentioning the village name given in the table below of point 12.
- The proposal must be submitted as a separate attachment. Kindly recommend the BOQ given.
- Proposals received after due date will not be considered.
- Financial proposals must be submitted inclusive of applicable taxes and mentioning the validity of the quoted rate.
- All terms and conditions must be clearly mentioned in the proposals.
- Incomplete proposals shall not be considered.
- The work shall be completed on or before 30th October 2026
- Payment shall be released based on the actual work completed and verified.
