Role Summary

The Program Manager will lead the day-to-day management of Aroh's hospital-based programs and the staff delivering them. This is a hands-on coordination and leadership role. You will keep programs running smoothly, build the capacity of the field team, and make sure records and systems are strong enough to support quality delivery and donor reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Program management

Oversee the day-to-day implementation of all programs across partner hospitals and states
Structure and standardise program processes, SOPs and workflows across sites
Track targets, outcomes and timelines, and flag risks or gaps early
Coordinate with hospital administration and medical teams to resolve on-ground issues

Team management

Supervise and coordinate 50+ program staff: social workers, physician assistants, staff nurses and pharmacists
Hold regular review meetings and check-ins with state and hospital teams
Support staff with performance planning, feedback and problem-solving

Capacity building

Plan and conduct onboarding and ongoing training for field staff
Identify skill gaps and organise workshops, refreshers and peer learning
Build a culture of accountability, empathy and quality service to patients and families

Records, documentation and reporting

Maintain accurate, up-to-date program records and databases
Ensure timely, quality data collection from all hospital sites
Prepare periodic program reports (internal, donor and partner) with the fundraising and communications teams

Coordination

Work closely with leadership, fundraising/CSR and finance teams to align program delivery with commitments to donors and partners
Represent Aroh in meetings with hospital partners and stakeholders when required
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Social Work, Public Health, Hospital Administration, Development Studies, Management or a related field preferred
2-4 years of experience in live program management, preferably in healthcare, a hospital system or a health-focused NGO
Proven experience managing and coordinating teams, ideally across multiple locations
Experience in training or capacity building of staff

Skills and Competencies
Language: Excellent English (spoken and written); fluent Malayalam is essential. Working Hindi is an advantage, given the national footprint
Strong organisational, planning and follow-up skills
Good command of MS Excel, Google Workspace and reporting/documentation tools
Clear communication and people-management skills, with sensitivity for working in a paediatric cancer setting
Comfortable with remote coordination and occasional travel
Compensation

Monthly salary of 30,000 to 40,000, depending on experience and skills.
