About the Role
This is a Full Time Opportunity based in Pune. We are looking for a dynamic and passionate team member to create mentors and speakers pipeline for programmatic implementation, on board industry, and professional societies (SWE, IEEE etc) partnerships creating bridges between our students and the real world opportunities. Your goal is to ensure students completing have a pathway to access: entry-level jobs, internships (corporate and academic) Through this role will also drive the mentor onboarding process and build a potential speaker pipeline for masterclasses, role model sessions, and technical talks, ensuring students gain both skills and professional exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with STEM industries, corporate CSR teams, and professional societies to create pipelines for internships and jobs.
- Facilitate academic research internships by connecting with universities, research labs, and faculty.
- Initiate, negotiate, and formalize collaborations via MoUs or partnership agreements, ensuring sustained access to partner resources.
- Maintain and follow up on internal connects to deepen engagement with industry and association stakeholders.
- Lead mentor recruitment and onboarding to ensure a diverse, high-quality mentor pool across STEM disciplines.
- Develop and maintain a speaker pipeline for program events, masterclasses, and role model interactions.
- Organize career-focused events such as industry interaction days, career fairs, and partner-led workshops.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of partners, mentors, speakers, and placement outcomes.
- Track and report on partnership and engagement outcomes for leadership and funders.
Requirements
- 6–8 years in industry relations, talent engagement, campus recruitment, corporate partnerships, or business development within the nonprofit, higher education, or STEM sectors.
- Strong relationship management and networking skills, with the ability to engage at senior levels in industry and associations.
- Proven experience in stakeholder onboarding, including mentors, advisors, or speakers.
- Skilled in negotiating and managing formal agreements (MoUs, contracts).
- Understanding of internship, recruitment, and professional development processes in STEM.
- Commitment to VigyanShaala’s mission and passion for enabling equitable access to opportunities for women in STEM.
- Ensure smooth onboarding, tracking, and feedback collection for all internship and job placements.
- Maintain and update a database of industry contacts, opportunities, and student placements.
- Track partnership performance, deliver periodic reports, and ensure mutual value creation.
Reporting: The position will directly report to the CEO, Dr. Darshana Joshi. Functional reporting on certain tasks might rest with programmatic heads or Lead Program and Curriculum Development.
