Job title: Project Coordinator

The position holder shall be responsible to adhere with & work within the ambit of Plan India’s Safeguarding & Gender Equality Policies.
Job Summary:
The project is seeking to appoint a centrally placed Project Coordinator to be based at one of training centers at New Delhi for day to day project management of Saksham project. The Project Coordinator will report to the Senior Manager, Grants Implementation. Under the guidance and supervision, S/he will ensure that the project delivers on its objectives and results, it utilizes its financial allocations in an effective manner and the project lessons are documented and shared with partners and stakeholders. S/he will support the meeting programmatic and compliances and will provide support in the areas of project planning, implementation, innovation and monitoring on a day to day basis. S/he will support the in-building partnerships with national and state stakeholders.
Major Responsibilities:
• Lead operationalization of project/s with specific focus on youth employment through sustainable livelihoods, vocational and life skills training.
• Ensure that project is rolled out as per its keys performance indicators and is operationalized through an approved strategic plan across project locations.
• Ensure operationalization of progress trackers, KPI, checklists and project monitoring and evaluation system on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Closely monitor and review project activities, ensure that activities are on track, escalate emerging risks when activities are off track.
• Make regular field visits in other field locations across different states to monitor the project progress and submit visit reports with observations and recommendations
• Assist in developing term of references for commissioning reviews studies, and evaluations and monitor these closely as per deliverables.
• Develop high quality project and donor reports.
• Facilitate development of program budgets, monitor expenditure and do modifications as required.
• Identify new opportunity for interventions and contribute to project proposal development.
• Organizing trainings, workshops, events, partner meetings, including identification of participants, resource agencies/facilitators and general logistical support.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive electronic data base and inventory of all the communication and knowledge products developed under the project.
• Coordinate and facilitate donor visits/ National or International team/guests.
• Produce high quality periodic project progress reports, case studies and proposals.
• Develop progress reports cash flows, detail Implementation plan, project proposals, LFA etc.
• Carry out any other work assigned by Management
Core competencies:
• Understanding of Child Rights.
• Understanding of issues related to youth employment.
• Understanding of nitty-gritty of Vocational and Life skills training and job placement services.
• Effective communication skills – oral and written
• Strong monitoring, coordination and facilitation skills
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and deliver consistently on deadlines
• Strong analytical skills
• Comfortable working as a member of a culturally diverse team
• Familiarity with operating MS office
Education: Post-Graduate/Degree (or equivalent) in Social Sciences.
Experience: Work experience of at least 5 years in development field. At least 2 years experience in program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of integrated program/projects on Promotion of Youth Employment through Vocational and Life Skills Training. Experience of partnership management would be an essential
Language Requirements: Familiarity with any one regional language. Fluency in writing, speaking and reading English and Hindi is essential
