ABOUT THE PROJECT
Community Mobiliser is responsible for mobilizing and engaging community members, particularly youth, women, and marginalized groups, to participate in project activities. The role involves community outreach, awareness generation, beneficiary identification and enrolment, stakeholder engagement, and continuous follow-up to ensure successful implementation of skill development, livelihoods, education, health, or social development programs.
SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:
The position is responsible for mobilising and engaging youth and communities through outreach activities, awareness campaigns, and community interactions. It involves supporting enrolment and retention of participants, maintaining programme documentation, conducting home and community visits, providing counselling and follow-up, and organising community events to promote programme participation and achieve project targets.
KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct community and youth mobilisation, awareness generation, retention, follow-up.
• Develop plan as per targets and find innovative ways of outreach activities
• File and maintain dossiers /admission forms/ enrolment formats.
• Keep a track of attendance, and drop outs and do community visits for follow-up.
• Conduct home-visits and be a part of parent/community interface.
• Organise admission/enrolment campaigns, street and community events, information kiosks, Information Education Communication (IEC), posters etc.
• Conduct meetings in communities to create awareness on courses and mobilise youth for it.
• Conduct regular follow-up with enrolled participants to ensure attendance and retention.
• Identify reasons for absenteeism and dropouts and take corrective actions.
• Provide counselling and motivation to beneficiaries and their families.
• Any other task as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Graduate in any discipline (Rural Development, Community Development, Education, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in community mobilization, outreach, social development, livelihoods, education, or skill development projects.
• Experience working with youth, women, marginalized communities, and grassroots institutions is desirable.
• Knowledge of local languages and community dynamics is preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Community engagement and facilitation skills.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of government welfare and livelihood schemes.
• Basic documentation, IT and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel extensively within project locations.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
