Location: Patna / Bhojpur / Muzaffarpur / Nalanda, Bihar

Qualification Required: A post-graduate degree/diploma in management, social work, rural development, or a related field.
 
Experience Required: 
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in field-level implementation of livelihoods, SHG, or financial-inclusion programs.
  • Prior experience working directly with SHGs/CLFs or SRLM field structures is preferred.
  • Candidates without prior full-time experience but with relevant field exposure may also be considered.
Skills & Attributes:
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned district, including to remote blocks and clusters.
  • Good facilitation and training skills for working with SHG members and Bookkeepers.
  • Basic digital literacy, including data entry/MIS use and smartphone-based applications.
  • Good oral and written Hindi skills; working knowledge of English preferred.
About the Project
PCI intends to work on supporting JEEViKA in “LokOS Data Digitization for Enhanced Credit “, through a 12-month intensive engagement (September 2026 – September 2027) covering 4 districts of Bihar – Patna, Bhojpur, Muzaffarpur and Nalanda – across 70 Cluster Level Federations (CLFs) and 5.95 lakh SHG women.
 
The assignment requires a field-led implementation approach to translate LokOS digitisation into sustained, accurate and credit-relevant transaction data at scale. Working closely with Jeevika (Bihar State Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society), PCI will drive SHG and VO transaction-data training and adoption, data-quality assurance, handholding, operational problem-solving and structured reporting, contributing to the plan of supporting 0.8 million active, regularised transaction-data records by September 2027.
 
The project centres on moving Bihar’s SHG/VO ecosystem beyond one-time training towards sustained usage, regularised transaction data, strengthened Bookkeeper (BK) capability, and clean, integration-ready CLF-level data to support future credit-model integration.
 
About the Role
The District Coordinator will act as the last-mile link between the state-level program structure and the community. S/he will coordinate with the district CF team to align on planning, resource needs and joint activities, and will travel extensively to clusters and blocks to conduct trainings and provide direct, on-ground implementation support to frontline SRLM teams and community members.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Field Implementation & Training
  • Coordinate with the district CF/FI team to align on planning, resource needs, and joint activities.
  • Travel to clusters and blocks to conduct SHG and VO transaction-data trainings for BKs and community professionals.
  • Provide direct, on-ground implementation support and handholding to frontline SRLM teams and community members.
  • Support completion of training batches as per the sequenced rollout schedule and track BK coverage.
Data Quality & Monitoring
  • Support CLF-level follow-up and completion tracking to ensure training translates into actual transaction-data adoption.
  • Support Transaction Validation SOP implementation and routine data-quality checks/physical verification at the CLF level.
  • Identify shortcomings on the ground, address where possible, and report to the State Coordinator to ensure uninterrupted implementation.
Reporting
  • Report progress, challenges and field insights to the State Coordinator on a regular basis.
  • Maintain accurate field-level records and documentation to support state and national reporting.
Stakeholder Coordination
  • Act as the last-mile link between the state-level program structure and the community/field level.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with block- and cluster-level Jeevika staff and community institutions.

Recruitment Process:

The complete process usually takes 2–3 weeks. Candidates moving to the final round will hear from the People & Culture team. In?person meetings are preferred, but virtual meetings are conducted where distance is a constraint.
