CONTENT OF TERMS OF REFERENCE
1. Background:
Maharashtra's network of Ashramshalas — residential schools for Adivasi (tribal) children run and aided by the Tribal Development Department (TDD) — provides education and shelter to a large number of tribal students across the state, many of them first-generation learners are living away from their families for extended periods. Because these students both learn and live within the same institution, their wellbeing depends on several systems functioning together: safe residential environments, adequate WASH infrastructure, quality and gender-responsive education, and psychosocial support suited to the specific stresses of residential tribal life. UN ORGANISATION, Mumbai Field Office seeks to appoint a consultant, through Third-Party arrangement to technically assist the office of the Commissioner Tribal Development, Government of Maharashtra.
