Job Description for Manager – Livelihood and Capacity Building

Job Overview
The Manager – Livelihood & Capacity Building will lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of livelihood programs aimed at enhancing income, employment opportunities, and economic resilience of communities. The role focuses on strengthening capacities of beneficiaries, community institutions (SHGs, FPOs), and field staff through structured training, skill development, and market-oriented interventions. The position requires strong leadership, coordination with government stakeholders, and effective program execution at field level.
He / She will work closely with the Chairman to ensure the successful execution of projects, while also leading specific initiatives and managing day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Program Planning & Implementation
Plan and implement livelihood programs; prepare work plans, budgets, and ensure smooth execution of field activities.
2. Livelihood Promotion & Enterprise Development
Promote sustainable livelihoods, support micro-enterprises, and facilitate market linkages and access to financial/government schemes.
3. Capacity Building & Training
Conduct training for SHGs, youth, and farmers; develop training materials and strengthen capacities of staff and community institutions.
4. Stakeholder Coordination & Partnerships
Coordinate with government departments, NGOs, CSR partners, and private sector; ensure convergence with livelihood schemes.
5. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
Track KPIs, conduct field monitoring, prepare reports, and document success stories and program impact.
6. Team Management
Lead, supervise, and mentor field teams; ensure performance management and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Rural Development, Social Work, Livelihoods, Agribusiness, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in livelihood/skill development programs.
• Experience in capacity building, enterprise development, and community engagement.

Remuneration: of Rs.30,000 per month, based on last drawn salary and relevant experience.
