Breakthrough is looking for a Senior Manager – Multimedia to lead the development of high-quality film, video and design outputs. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, including shooting and producing films, overseeing design outputs, while ensuring consistency, creativity and alignment with organisational branding and communication goals.
The specific job responsibilities are mentioned below:
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end production of all film and video content, including campaign films, PSAs, documentaries and digital videos.
- Conceptualise, shoot and produce internal films and videos, including programme documentation, interviews and rapid-response content.
- Translate organisational narratives and campaign objectives into compelling visual concepts, scripts and storytelling formats.
- Oversee all stages of production-pre-production, shoot execution and post-production.
- Identify and manage directors, production houses, editors and other creative partners for larger productions.
- Ensure all film outputs align with organisational messaging, brand guidelines and ethical storytelling standards.
- Oversee all design outputs (internal and external), ensuring consistency with brand identity across campaigns, publications, digital and on-ground materials.
- Establish and maintain strong visual identity and design standards across the organisation.
- Build and streamline workflows for multimedia production and design to ensure efficiency and timely delivery.
- Manage budgets, timelines and vendor relationships across film and design projects.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to translate complex social issues into clear, engaging visual content.
- Lead and mentor designers, video editors and external partners to maintain high creative quality.
- Lead and manage the internal multimedia team providing clear creative direction, reviewing outputs and mentoring team members to build capability and maintain high-quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and departments to understand and deliver on audio-visual and design requirements across programmes, campaigns and organisational needs.
- Oversee the storage, organization, and management of multimedia data.
Specific Knowledge, Skill & Experience Required:
- 8–12 years of experience across film/video production and design-led roles.
- Strong hands-on filmmaking skills, including shooting and producing video content independently.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating films, digital content and visual design work.
- Proven ability to manage both hands-on production and external vendors/agencies.
- Strong understanding of branding, visual identity systems and design quality control.
- Experience working with external agencies, production houses and freelancers.
- Strong storytelling and visual sensibility with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines and stakeholders effectively.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Sensitivity to social issues and commitment to ethical, responsible storytelling
- Experience in the social sector, with an understanding of gender and social change narratives, will be preferred.
