Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Post Graduate/ Graduate in Social Work/ Social Science and/or other relevant fields from a reputed institution
• Minimum 5-6 years of relevant work experience in the development sector/ community-based organisation
• Excellent communication (oral and written) skills in Hindi and English
• Strong digital competency (office software packages, data management, etc)
• Strong grasp over relevant gender and developmental concepts
• Behavioural skills which will be assets - problem solving, cultural sensitivity, adaptable, proactive/self-driven, team player, demonstrating ethics and integrity, time management, multi-tasking
Remuneration: 4.8 lakhs per annum. Final compensation will depend on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, previous salary history and demonstrated capacities.
Job Description – Project Coordinator:
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overall coordination of project activities in Bihar, including implementation, financial tracking, administrative management, and monitoring & evaluation in line with the donor requirement. The role requires close collaboration with field teams, stakeholders, community and internal departments to ensure effective, compliant, and timely delivery of project outcomes.
• Project Planning & Execution
• Developing detailed project plans, timelines, and activity schedules
• Coordinate day-to-day implementation of project activities across assigned districts/blocks
• Ensure deliverables are completed on time and as per defined quality standards
• Field Coordination & Stakeholder Management
• Primary point of contact for field teams and local stakeholders
• Coordinate with government officials, community leaders, and partner organisations
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress and provide on-ground support
• Build and maintain relationships with local authorities and partners
• Support partnership process and build strong presence and relationships through meetings, coordination and consultation with project partners, beneficiaries and stakeholders
• Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
• Track progress against project indicators, targets, and milestones
• Maintain and update project MIS/data systems regularly
• Collect, validate, and analyse field data to assess programme effectiveness
• Support baseline, midline, and endline assessments
• Identify gaps and provide actionable insights for course correction
• Prepare high-quality monthly/ quarterly reports and share with management
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of activities
• Financial & Administrative Coordination
• Track project expenditures and maintain expense records in coordination with the Finance team
• Support timely processing of payments, reimbursements, and advances
• Ensure adherence to organisational financial policies and donor guidelines
• Maintain administrative records, asset registers, and procurement documentation
• Coordinate logistics for trainings, meetings, and field activities
• Support in organising trainings, orientations, review meetings etc
• Ensure proper documentation for audits, donor reviews, and internal assessments
• Represent CEQUIN at different forums to amplify voices of girls and boys on gender equality and build networks with other stakeholders in this space
• Any other relevant task, assigned by the management
Employment Status: Contractual, full time
Location: As a full-time engagement, this role is based at Patna District, Bihar, with frequent local commute to the field sites to review and monitor programmes, and out of state travel as and when required.
